“Descent hotel!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

The lobby and breakfast area were very neat and new! The rooms were very small and old looking ! The metro station is about a 5 minutes walk from the hotel which is very convenient ! Overall, this hotel is a good place to stay to visit Paris!

Reason: Close to working place.

Location: a little bit far from center, but the metro is 2 min walk so it is easy to get to the center of Paris.

Room: I had a family room for single use. It wasn't so big room even I lived there alone. One thin bad and 2 extra bad on the second floor.
The view wasn't to the train lines so it wasn't noisy. It was possible to open the window, but still all room was smelling after cigarettes.
For me it is very strange if you should live with children in such smoking room
Thin shower room, but I suppose that this one was good for Paris. There wasn't hair dryer in the room. Also it wasn't in the reception!

Hotel:
In general normal hotel, but it is possible to hear everything what is going on outside your room.

Service: The stuff was 50/50 helpful. First girl wasn't very nice, but other girl in reception was nice.
Unfortunately free WiFi didn't work, because system couldn't recognise my phone number and stuff couldn't help me.
Also it was confusing a fire alarm during the last morning (at 7.am). Reception girls didn't apologise or comment some how this moment of the morning.

Conclusion: In general I didn't enjoy staying in this hotel. This is not a 3 star hotel at all! Next time definitely I'll choose other hotel even with lower number of stars.

Just come back from a fantastic weekend in Paris. This hotel is located 25 minutes away from central Paris, the Metro is a 2 minute walk. Malakoff is very quiet. The hotel is basic but VERY good and thought out for what you pay £78 for 2 nights! The reception area, canteen, corridors and rooms are spotlessly clean, not what I was expecting at all. Yes the rooms are a bit small, but you only need a place to put your head down and have a shower. I would really recommend this hotel if you wanted to do Paris on a budget and do not want to spend a fortune on expensive hotels in Paris!

Four girlfriends a weekend in Paris. Decided to get a 4-bed-room, it was a little cramped but worth it for the night-giggle! If you want more privacy get 2 rooms for a similar group.
We got a fine room, clean beds and clean towels every day.

The personel was kind and helpful. Guided us to a very nice restaurant in the area on arrival night (our flight was late so we were glad to be able to eat at that hour, middle of the night!). Don´t miss that one, feels really genuin. They also answered some questions per email before our arrival fairly quick.
Also got help to an exchange office with good rate.
Breakfast nice. Free Wifi in the hotel, at times a little slow, but over-all great.
Only thing that wasn´t positive was the mould-stains in the shower, (tiny, but there), but other than that, the bathroom was clean.

This is my second stay at this hotel and I would go back again.

One gets more than one pays for because the price is very low. Easy access, calm area and close to the Metro is also positive! By Metro it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to citycentre, depending on where your going.
It it a very good alternative if you´re on a tight budget or simply want to spend your money elsewhere!

This hotel is conveniently located only a 2 min walk from metro stop Malakoff Porte de Vanves, which will get you to Ile de la Cité in about 25 min. Hotel rooms are typical for Paris: tiny and smell of smoke. But they're clean and the location is great. The staff seemed annoyed about having so many teenagers staying there. There were several groups on educational tours there during the winter break. Perhaps they should realize that tourism keeps this city going, particularly during low season.

Very pleasant, GREAT breakfast and safe. Nice location, very close to the Metro. Only downside is that the rooms were quite small.

Family of four (children aged 12 and 9) stayed for one night whilst in Paris.

Easy to find - right off the Boulevard Periphique.

Literally a 2-minute walk to the Metro which takes you straight into the heart of the city with the minimum of fuss.

The room was clean and well-presented; loft-style mezzanine for the kids to sleep on, with proper, full-size beds. There was also a half-door, which is useful from a safety point of view as the stairs up are fairly safe.

Secure car-park which was pretty cheap too - 10 Euros for 24 hours.

Plenty of choice available for breakfast, and it was good value when compared to going into the city to eat.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and would definitely stay with B&B again.
