Owner description: While everyone enjoys the wine and the view when they come to visit, the most asked question would have to be about our name...On a cool spring morning in 1929, a small crew from Okanagan Falls set off to a deserted mining camp some 16 miles away from home. Their mission: to dismantle an old wooden church and bring it back to Okanagan Falls. The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails". Odd as it may seem, the explosion spared the wood from damage during dismantling.Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now the 103 year old wooden church stands proudly in its second home of Okanagan Falls and is still an operating United Church. In keeping with its rather remarkable history, the church has since withstood the threat of two major floods, including the disastrous burst of the Okanagan Falls Dam in the early 1950's.In naming our VQA wines "Blasted Church" we celebrate the ingenuity of the initiative to move the church and honor those pioneers for their vision.

“Great wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Blasted Church rolled out the red carpet for us. Thank you Tanya for the fabulous tour. I love your wines and will continue to drink them and share them with everyone I can. This winery should be at the top of the list to see. The location is beautiful and the history about the name and of course there are the labels. My favorite is the Fuse and Big Bang Theory. Highly recommend this winery

“Great Wine with a beautiful view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Blasted Church Vineyards is more and more becoming my favourite wineries in the BC area. The staff are always friendly and excited about their wine and the art on the labels of Blasted Church's wine is really fun! The site is to die for and is really relaxing to look at while trying some of their delicious wine. It is definitely a must stop for any wine enthusiasts out there.

“Good experience”

Good wine & friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful. There was a pool. I didn't figure out whether the pool was available for public use or not. Great view.

“Awesome little winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Very friendly staff, delicious wine and unique names! Also one of very few wineries to make an unoaked chardonnay. I thought I didn't like chardonnay until I tried theirs!! We will definitely be back.

“This is a must visit winery in the Naramata/Skaha area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Great wines! Lovely location, good staff. The wine labels themselves are worth the trip up! Lots of other wineries along the way so very easy to make a day of it.
