Description: The Morrison House Cafe is located in one of the most beautiful heritage homes in Lacombe, Alberta. Built in 1919 by one of the town's first mayors, its classic style and antique furnishings provide a unique and comfortable setting for lunch or perhaps an afternoon break for coffee and a piece of homemade pie. Delicious soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts and more are served from 11:00 to 3:30, Tuesday through Saturday. Come for lunch, stay for pie!

“home made meals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

There are so many wonderful aspects to the Morrison House Café. The food is delicious, home made and plentiful. The owners and staff are welcoming and attentive. Cindy not only provided a high chair and bib for my grand daughter but a sippy cup too. The Morrison House is a large, beautiful home with a lovely yard. You can also enjoy your meal on the back porch.

“Great food and very kid-friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

This cafe located in a historic home in beautiful Lacombe is the best place in town for lunch. Great options include homemade quiche, sandwiches made with homemade bread and croissants, soups and, my kids' favourite, waffles with whipped cream! The pies are a must for dessert. The interior of the home is very pretty and the seating on the deck is even better with views of the garden. For little ones they provide a vintage highchair, sippy cups and hand-stitched bibs. Highly recommended!

“Cafe with Classic Ambience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

To go to the Morrison House Cafe is a trip down memory lane and a treat for all your senses! An old home that has been beautifully cared for and also restored is the setting for a wonderful brunch or lunch. There is always a great selection of home made (from scratch) soups, breads, pies and salads. I have never been disappointed with the food and the service is second to none! It is a place that I return to whenever I want a break from the ordinary. Chuck and Cindy, owners, are friendly and accommodating. A great addition to Lacombe's eateries!

“Wonderful Cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

The Morrison House Cafe is a wonderful cafe in Lacombe. The house is gorgeous and took my breath away! They have a great selection of lunch items and the pies are especially delicious. I've been multiple times and some of my favorite desserts are the "Oatmeal Cake", the "Bread Pudding" and of course, "Banana Cream Pie". The service was excellent and of course the owners, Chuck and Cindy are charming and a pleasure to be around!

“Comfort Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Once Mayor of Lacombe, William Morrison lived in this house 100 years ago. It is now home to a new cafe that features homemade soups, sandwiches, salads along with a selection of yummy sweets. Cindy's popular Banana Cream Pie has already established an excellent reputation at the Miner's Cafe in Nordegg. Our server was attentive and helpful in describing the menu particulars. The coffee was excellent as was our entire order. We enjoyed eating outside on the covered porch, however, the interior decor appeared authentic to the period and was as cozy as Aunt Amarilla's front parlour. I will return.
