We visited this place at the beginning of March for my daughter in law's birthday. There were 12 of us. To start with I must say that the place is in a beautiful location. That's about the only good thing going for it....But as you walk in through the entrance you are immediately in the sales area for the new land available. Prospective purchasers then have to walk through the restaurant to another room just off from where diners are seated. Not very nice to have people traipse through where you are eating. The first thing I noticed after sitting down was a trail of ants underneath my feet. On closer inspection there was what appeared to be a dried up piece of bacon on the floor surrounded by dozens of ants that had found their way inside. We looked further around us to find the floors were filthy, obviously not having been cleaned after breakfast or maybe even the night before. We asked for water and went to pour it into one of our glasses...it had a very large crack and huge chip. How could that have been missed? The response from the staff after pointing these things out was "Oh my goodness!!!!!" The food was very slow in coming and food which sounded fancy turned out to be nothing but ordinary food made to sound better than it was. All of us decided we would not waste our time coming back. My advice to the staff: Pick up your game or you won't be in business for too long.

“Slow Service”

Four of us went here for my birthday lunch last Friday. After reading the poor reviews we were still keen to give it a try as it had something on the menu for everyone and I wanted something a bit more special then the usual local places.
The 2 girls that were on were nice, just not really in a hurry about anything although they did mention they were short staffed.
It wasnt busy at all in the restaurant and it took a while for the drinks to come and by the time it did unfortunately the cork in the bottle broke (not their fault) and then it took even longer to come back with another bottle of something different. The starters came out before we even got to have a drink so thats not really great, but apparently they couldnt find what we had ordered.
By the time we got our mains it was just past 2pm. Our reservation was at 12.30pm.
I'm all for having a long lunch but thats if there is some atmosphere in the place and the drinks were brought out straight away. We would have more then likely brought more then one bottle of bubbly if that was the case.
What saves this review from getting a lower score from me is the food. Even though it took way way to long to come out, it was good and everyone enjoyed their meals.
Dad's steak was cooked how he liked it, Mum loved her lamb shank, My lamb raviloi was lovely and my husband enjoyed his pork. It's just a shame it all took so long.
Would we go back again? Probably not any time soon.

“A true "family" restaurant”

We thought we were putting the staff out a bit by even being here! Half of our food was very very good, only half of it. Our evening was spoilt by noise from the many very active children "dining" with their parents. I am sure this would be a great local hangout mid week with the kids, nothing else

“Appalling service”

Wonderful location in a new housing estate. Service is woeful. All Guests were starving by the time the obviously inexperienced waitress took orders and meals took so long to arrive. Wouldn't bother to go back unless they get enough staff to cater for weekend diners. Meals were edible except for those who order any steak, be prepared to accept meat that you could sole your shoes with.
This venue really need to get some organisation in their management or long-term, this business is doomed to fail.

“Very Disappointing”

Such a beautiful place but the service was so disappointing. We were seated at 7:30 but did not receive our menu's until 7:45 as they had run out. The restaurant was only half full! How a venue fails to have enough menu's to reach even half their licences capacity it beyond me. After a long and convoluted ordering process with an inexperienced waitress we finally ordered entrees which didn't come out until 8:40pm, disappointing considering we only ordered garlic breads and bruschetta. At 9:20pm the waitress apologised for the delay and said the meals would only be another 15mins and she would bring us some complementary drinks. Unfortunately after the second attempt we had to get bottled drinks as all the tap drinks were out of syrup. Mains finally arrived at 9:45 and were pretty disappointing considering the 2+ hours they had to prepare them and their cost. The ribs had need sitting under heat lamps so long all the sauce had dried out and started to burn. 10 minute wait for extra serviettes and bowls for ribs. Steaks were of such a poor state they had to be discarded, manager apologised and said they had received a poor order from their supplier, why you would still plate it up astounds me. Very inexperienced staff, no manager around to keep control. Definitely won't come back here again.
