“Excellent Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

We were met by Joan and Andrew with a welcome cup of tea. A more peaceful and beautiful location would be hard to find. The accommodation is pristine and comfortable. The breakfast excellent although the coffee was a little weak!

As other reviews we could not find any fault with Burnley House or Hutton le Hole, Andrew and Joan are very warm and helpful hosts, room was very clean, warm and comfortable, food excellant.
There is plenty to do in the village and a trip to the local is recomended, food is first class with very freindly staff.
We would definatly stay at Burnley House in the future.

Room Tip: Dogs are allowed in some rooms which is why we booked are stay

Have just been back for a few days break, and Burnley House is still a very special place, with very special people who lean over backwards to make sure your stay is 'the best'. All facilities, food and cleanliness all top notch, and the village pub a minutes walk away, has a fantastic welcoming atmosphere. We will be back.

Room Tip: A room in the main house does have excellent views, but the room in the attached building is very co...

Just had 4th visit to Burnley house... with 5th already booked. Since our last review the running of the B & B has been taken over by a wonderful couple who are putting their all into making your stay a wonderful experience... and it certainly was! The property has been very recently decorated and they have added many extra 'finishing touches' which have made a huge difference. The breakfasts are exquisite and cater for all tastes.... and set you up for the remainder of the day.
The area is just stunning... this time of year is amazing... never seen so many daffodils!

We highly recommend this B & B.... in all aspects.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent... pets only allowed in two.

Used as a base for 4 day walking holiday. A stunning location in one of the most picturesque villages in North Yorkshire. Older property with all the charm you would expect. A large and extremely well equipped room, huge bathroom, and a very comfy bed. No complaints about breakfast either, a perfect fryup! Everything we had hoped for when we booked our stay in this pretty house.

Though set in a great location, this B and B has seen much better days. Rooms are unattractive and smelly and the beds far inferior to what one expects in this day and age. Breakfast was fine though orders were muddled. If you are looking for value for money, go somewhere else.
