We have just returned from our usual holiday at Christmas in wonderful Barbados where we have stayed in various hotels over the years.. We have dined at Mango Bay before and have attended the New Years Gala dinner as a non-resident. We have even stayed in the Condos privately but this was the first time we have stayed as a full and complete guest. All I can say is it was fantastic. Shareen and her team make you so welcome and will do anything for you. It is an all inclusive with a touch of class and a very personal touch. It is in the most wonderful location right on the beach and the service is impeccable with fabulous food. The majority of the time it is waiter service which makes such a difference, It is small and intimate with great residents (a lot of them being repeat guests) and thats what makes it so wonderful,especially over the Christmas period . New Years Eve was just amazing and everyone worked so hard to make it a memorable evening. There was quite a few of us in our party and everyone enjoyed it.Room is already reserved for next year. 48 weeks to go what more can I say! Jeanette & Thomas Leigh

Stayed at the Mango Bay for two weeks prior to Christmas and even though the weather was not too good (part of the beach washed away by the creek after torrential rain) we could not fault the hotel.
Great position , brilliant friendly staff, good food and couldn't fault the rooms. (upgraded after three days as they needed to carry out some work on our room).
Worth hiring a car for a few days , Harrisons cave,Crane beach , Oistens & Bridgetown are a must.
Bars & shops in Holetown are on the doorstep.
To avoid the noise from the local bars book a superior or deluxe room.

Staid here for Xmas and new year and had a ball don't want to bore you with all the comments others have left because there all basically the same.If you don't drink do not get a room in the apartment block to the left of reception rooms 405 to 395 your next to Lexys bar with a live singer and it goes on till the last person leaves the pub,you would really think they were playing in your room it's that noisy.On a Sunday the bar on street one does karaoke and puts the big massive speakers on the street if you don't go to the party it's a waste of time going to bed you won't sleep.The hotel is good but I was going to book for next Xmas and new year and was shocked to see the prices have jumped £2000 it's a nice hotel but it ain't as good as the price reflects.I think there trying to run before they can walk and are going to find a lot of empty rooms next year.All the staff are very courteous and helpfull.If you need to change money at reception make sure you have dollars and not Sterling they give you double the Barbados dollar for US dollars but Sterling they only give you 2.40 BDS for a pound so if your changing £100 you get 240 BDS and if you change 157 dollars you get 314 BDS a big drop .All in all I would go back because its in a great location.

We stayed at Mango Bay over christmas and new year and had a wonderful time, the majority of the staff are really happy and helpful, the few issues we had were dealt with really quickly, food & drinks great, downside - the beach beds and the guest that reserve them at 1st light, so if you dont get up at dawn to get a bed on the beach you can forget having one for the rest of the day. Overall a lovely hotel, which was really clean, good fod and lovely staff with great cocktails
