Just returned after 4 weeks holiday. This was our second visit and it was wonderful to meet up with a lot of people, both owners and guests, who we had met there last time. You feel like you are a part of a small community as owners and guests alike are so friendly and it is lovely to all meet up to watch the sunset and chat, whilst enjoying a rum punch. We again stayed in Apartment #7, which is perfect for us as it is on first floor, and in all the time we were there, if we were not eating out, we had all our meals on the balcony (sharing them with the very friendly sparrows who visited us each day). Although the actual apartment is quite basic, it has everything you need and is kept cool by fans. Audrey, the housekeeper has now retired but Meshelle, her replacement, was just as efficient and kept our apartment spotless. Thanks to Harry and Helena too for their hardwork and friendliness.
We were pleased to be here when the cottage on the edge of the sea, which was badly damaged by high seas on our last visit, was demolished. We now had a sea view from our apartment (no doubt something will replace it).
We also found new eating places nearby which were excellent and good value: Sea Cat, Just Grilling, Carizma - Tapas & live music /Tues & Thurs evenings, OPA in Lime Grove and the veg bajan food from Papa Earl (opp side of Rd at entrance to Art Studios 7 days a week from approx 12 till he has sold it all) A takeaway to die for.
Thanks Sarah and Simon. Hope to return again.
Room Tip: All the apartments are excellent. I looked at quite a few when I was there. Some of them have been...
