Friday the 24th May and just returned from Mundesly Holiday Village, a complex on the east coast of North Norfolk, it was my second visit the first being in November 2012, unfortunatly then and last week the weather was far from perfect, cold and wet, and last week cold winds, I know that the weather really does not have any bearing on our opinion of a hotel, but in this case it does, the chalets are built in a circle, last year I was given a chalat standing on its own, which in the summer would have been fine, but in the winter it was very cold and damp, the next morning I asked to change it, which they did, i was given a brick built chalet facing inwards, away from any strong winds, it was heaven, warm and comfortable, this year my chalet was on the outer circle, facing north and the strong winds off of the north sea, the chalet was fine it was comfortable and clean, the radiators seemed to be on 24 hours, but they were wasted as the cold drafts entering the chalet from gaps between the window and door frames was left the chalet feeling quite cold, which was a shame as the rest of the complex was fine the staff were friendly good at there Jobs I have to compliment the waiting staff, as with three coach loads of visitors, they bought your meals to you whilst it was hot, the quality of the food was excellant, I personally didnt bother much with the evening entertainment, but other members of our group said how much they had enjoyed it, Just to sum up I do think that before next winter the chalets faceing outwards could be improved cheaply with someone with a mastic gun filling the gaps around the door and window frames, bearing in mind that the complex is aimed at senior citizens.
