“fresh food in Roatan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

We ate here on our last day on Roatan and wish we had discovered it earlier as this place was such a refreshing change from the usual beach bars.
The owner, a Sydney native, was super sweet and friendly and told us the place had only been open a few months. Being "off" the beach (but seriously close!!) it didn't get the same traffic as other places so was very quiet the day we stopped by.
Ordered a fresh made tea and a fruit drink of Papaya and ginger. She made the drinks right there fresh in the grinder and I was supping down tiny pieces of ginger which was delicious
Hubby ordered a ham and cheese toastie and I got a roast veggie wrap with hummus. So tasty and so fresh.
At the end of a week long binge on beach food and beer this was just what the doctor ordered.
The gardens are beautiful and the wonder told us she pretty much created them from scratch.
She also has an art (gift) shop close by so be sure to look for the La la that is the garden cafe!

“No need to dine anywhere else in West Bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

After having two meals of greasy bar food prepared with no focus on freshness or presentation... We found LaLa....and it was like a beacon to our senses. The food was amazingly fresh prepared with herbs from the garden. And the setting is clean and calm and uncrowded. And the owner, Lale (sp), was delightful company. My husband and I ate almost every meal here the rest of the week.... Trying most items on the menu which included fresh guac and chips, black bean soup, pineapple curry, fresh herbal iced tea and rice pudding. And while we usually love to spend our vacations dabbling in all the local restaurants - we felt no guilt breaking that rule on this trip.

“Great taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

LALA has 2 parts: a gift shop next door to the West Bay Mall building and a café/restaurant across and down the road. The gift shop offers an amazing array of beautiful items: the owner obviously has great taste and knows what her stock is worth. The café has a lovely atmosphere -- open air but designed to catch the breeze -- and the food was excellent. It's not cheap, but it has a sophisticated feel and is a very pleasant place to spend an hour away from the beach.

“Wonderful meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

We enjoyed a really wonderful lunch at Lala. The service was warm and friendly, the setting was relaxed and quiet, and the food was excellent. Great menu, nice presentation. Highly recommended. Our only regret - we didn't save room for dessert and it sounded wonderful. Guess we'll have to go back!
