This was a all-inclusive trip over Labor Day. We (family of 4) was in a beachfront villa which was right next to their NIGHTCLUB. It was horrible time trying to sleep. Only two thin bath towels, two small bottle of water and one small TV with no remote (two rooms), the phone didn't work, ants all over the counter and hair in the bathroom (gross). Beach towels don't cost $50 dollars and please keep it stand manned. The buffet was okay nothing special and the silverware was cheap and dirty. The last day, we were allowed to eat a la carte and that seemed better. The snacks were a major disappointment, isolated time with little choices. It was about four nacho chips with some cheese and the other time was a quarter of a bologna sandwich. It gets better, they charged me four dollars for two bottle of water. However, we could drink all the liquor we wanted. Just didn't make sense. I could get a cup of water and all the drinks I wanted but not a bottle of water. Needless to say, I did share my opinion with the manager. The staff seemed distant but they was two who were nice and friendly. The rest of them seemed tired. The room/decor needs a good serious cleaning and some new linen. All of it was just worned out. As for the location, exterior grounds, pool and just ambiance, that was amazing and comforting after all of the other disappointments. The Mayan Princess can be an awesome place with some easy adjustments, for instance just issue some snack coupons with a simple snack menu. PROVIDE bottle water and adjust the inclusive amount. Adopt a linen life-cycle management, CLEAN THE VILLAS and don't make your staff work 14 hours a day. It affect the overall atmosphere. I do hope the Management Staff reads this and adopts these new suggestions, the benefits definitely outweighs the cost. The dive shop is your saving grace, the Manager and staff was AWESOME. I would dive with them any time.

I went here for a day. We went snorkeling and got to use their facilities here. The staff was very accomidating and helpful. I loved how beautiful the grounds were and very clean!!! The beach was amazing! I didnt want to leave!!!

i stayed 14 nights with all-inclusive package.the food was fair,the front beach room location great but the beach vendors were loud at times right 25 feet from my room portal.the music starting at 7am for breakfast playing loud hip pop/ rage music,the staff were really nice with great service.i will return to the resort in front of the most stoning coral reef ever that i had visited .

Stayed 3 nights at Mayan Princess with all-inclusive package.

Very large and nice rooms (mini-condos with separate bedroom, living room, small kitchen area with fridge, stove, microwave, etc., huge terrace with gas grill and raised table for 4).

The food in the package was buffet style, good and basic but not out of this world nor gourmet for the most part. Drinks inlcuded in the package were also basic (nothing top shelf) which was fine and expected.

Overall, was several levels below compared to previous all-inclusive resort I stayed at in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Worst part of hotel was the beds - hard - and pillows - even harder if that is possible.

Other thing that annoyed me a little was that they required 50% cash deposit (a local friend made my reservation for me) and when I arrived and asked to refund the 50% cash and put it all on credit card, they refused (even though I agreed to pay 3% extra to cover cc fees). That meant an extra trip to the ATM to be able to pay back the friend who made my reservations for me. Over all, didn't feel a lot of love on the customer service end of things.
