Our trip to the Bananarama was incredible! The sea was gorgeous, safe & secure surroundings, service fantastic and just a serene, relaxing vacation. Eddison & Zebby were a trip :) From check-in to check-out, we were more than happy with our choice of resorts .

Room Tip: Private garden cabanas were clean, cool and had great water pressure with both hot & cold water.

Eddison is an amazing bar tender. Great drinks and great company. He made my entire family feel at home. Been visiting since 2003 and Bannarama just keeps getting better! All of the staff works hard to make it a low key yet relaxing experience.

Room Tip: Room 5 for two people and any room with a loft for 4.

We arrived at the Bananarama after a week of work on the mainland and headed straight for the bar because our room was not ready. (We were early.) Great drinks, lots of variety, good specials, and surprisingly good food! Our room was worn, but very clean and comfortable. Nice area to sit in the front porch - complete with a hammock. Lots of activity in the evening and a beautiful beach and water. Great snorkeling for us, as we do not dive.

Room Tip: No pool, but the ocean and you get a great workout running on the beach and snorkeling!

We brought a water taxi from the West End village. It ended up being a rain day, so we sought shelter at the beachside bar at Bananarama. We stayed a few hours hoping the rain would let up (which I did not). We ordered a veggie pizza which was super fresh and delicious. Our bartender was really friendly and made a killer Pina Colada.

We were part of a group of 6 that went to Roatan for 8 days to relax , shop, and dive. We were impressed with this resort and feel that it indeed is one of the best places for family friendly groups. A lot of different things going on each day and you can read about them on the web page of resort. Jeff, one of owners, was really personable and always available if you had a problem or concern. The only problem we had during entire stay was some ants that came out after we left food out in room and they came and sprayed to take care of problem . There are some insects (sand fleas) on beach but found them to be taken care of with a lite spray of deet insect repellant, which is recommended for all people that walk the beach.

We stayed at Kings House and it is very large and comfortable. More than enough sleeping arrangements for up to 9-10 people. The internet was available to all guests with a pass code and it worked well. There was no TV in rooms but we were not there for TV. Spent a lot of time doing things. Early morning walk on beach was great and there are vendors that sell most everything. Again look over things and always haggle on price. Many will come down on initial asking price.

There is water taxi service to go to West End where there are additional shopping etc. Cost is reasonable about $2.50 per person each way but you can haggle on this also.

The dive shop was great. Those of us that dove really enjoyed this and took advantage of diving almost every day. The shop is organized and you can help plan where you want to go . There was no big wave action to speak of to rock the boat and diving was a short distance from resort. The surface interval was spent at resort between dives. Dive times were about 8:30 am; 10:45 am; and 2:00 pm. All the people were great. Thanks to Marco, Martin, and Zoe. Highly recommend the night dive as it was well organized and Martin did excellent job on this.

The staff were all friendly and worked hard to meet your needs. Food was good and reasonably priced. Special thanks to Alex and Caroline for really good service. A special touch was little animals left by Housekeeping staff on beds made from towels.

Again this is a small resort with cabins that are rustic and not elaborate or super fancy but were clean and more than adequate for our needs. A lot of people came here at night to relax with entertainment at Thirsty Turtle Bar from other resorts down beach.

All in all feel this was great value for dollar spent and will return again.

I went there on a groupon, so there was a lot of bang for my buck. The scuba-diving was unforgettable (though it got pricey) the drinks were awesome, especially their daily specials (although those too got pricey) and the beach was unbeatable..glad that was free.

I had a very cute and quaint room, the hammock was uncomfortable but if thats all i have to complain about we are in good! The service from all of their employees (besides a bar tender) was amazing, they even knew my name after just 2 days- and didn't forget by the end of the trip.

The complementary breakfast alone is something to brag about, I mean- it blew my mind- and I'm Honduran so I am accustomed to that type of food.

On my last day I had already checked out and was laying by the beach when the paddle-board instructor approached me to teach me how to paddle board to pass the time as I waited for the the shuttle to take me back to the airport. I had a ticket for lessons included in my itinerary just didn't take advantage of it during my stay- but he let me use my ticket and took me around West End.. One of the nicest guys I have EVER met and certainly a memorable experience to say the least.

On Sundays they have a crab race and a fire dance- it was literally the only resort around that had any activity- guests from the resorts around us came to party.

Cant wait to go back!

Also there is a guy walking up and down the beach yelling "BANANA DOUGHNUTS" try them- they are worth it.

Room Tip: I had cabin 21- it's in the back one of the very first that you see when you enter- next to the...

We stayed at Infinity but due to lack of stocked bar, towels, and staffing we went here daily.

Pro: great activities, staff, drinks

Con: pizzas, bathrooms
