Rendezvous sushi was next door to my boyfriend and my bungalow so it we decided to walk over and give it a try.
We were served by the couple that owned and lived in the house turned restaurant, and it was the warmest and best service we had on any resturant we visited on the island. They were both friendly, and genuinely interested in knowing a bit about us and our trip.
We had the miso soup and seaweed salad to start, followed by a cherry blossom roll, and a sashimi preparation of some island favorites. We devoured every morsel! We sampled a few different glasses of white wine from a selection remarkable for a remote island. The most refreshing drink I had was our hostesses iced green tea with lime, and being from Texas I was missing iced tea. Full as we were, we still opted to order a piece of homemade apple pie to share, and a piece of banana cream pie to-go for later.
We had dinner after the sun set, and the restaurant was romantically lit and artistically designed. The outside patio is a very pleasant temperature due to elevated nature of the house and the three ceiling fans overhead.
Pros: good food, good company, romantic setting, and reasonably priced
