We recently stopped at Honduras during a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Conquest. We booked a dive with Bananarama to get a more personalized dive experience and we were not disappointed! We felt completely safe once we met up with our transportation just outside the tourism village gates. Bananarama supplied us with instructions on where to meet our ride over to West Bay (about a 20 minute car ride). There, we arrived on their private resort. They helped us set-up our gear on shore. We then walked to the beach and put our gear on the boat and went out diving. We had 2 non-divers with us, so they got a day pass to the resort and sat on the beach all day while we dove. Between dives, we were transported back to the shore and got to spend an hour relaxing on the beach. Security patrolled the beach and kept the locals from bothering us (selling goods) while we were relaxing on the beach. After our 2nd dive, we were able to rinse our dive gear at the shop and hang it to dry in a secure place while we went and had some local cuisine and beers (paid for seperately from diving). They came and notified us that our ride would be there to return us to the tourism village, so we could pack up our gear and go get in the van. They returned us safely inside the secured tourism village in plenty of time to do some shopping and return to our cruise ship in no rush. I would highly recommend this outfit!
