“Welcome to Roatan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I stayed here for a week, we really enjoyed the hotel it is very clean and the staff work hard. The food is prepared on site and is acceptable, but some things should be changed out for items that are favoured by guests, however those items are actually local fair. Omelette bar for breakfast, lots of fruit, always pasta but could be warmer, chicken beef fish pork always a couple of choices. As with any AI you will get bored of the food about day 3. Plan to eat out 2 or 3 times for dinner to mix it up. Thirsty turtle next door has good pizza 2-4-1 on monday and 6 or 8 beers for about 30$. Also a must eat is Bite on the Beach, we had about 18 canadians from Las Sirenas there for our last night, you gotta eat here.Pool dinner once a week, beautiful ambiance, great effort by staff. Centre court yard pool is to our liking. We stayed on the second floor because of our dive gear but it was unnecessary and next time I would choose the ground floor, larger sitting area outside and quick in and out from the quiet pool area. Pool chairs were replaced on our last day and are new. Beach lovers can enjoy themselves right in front of the resort in a private guest area.

We were at the end of rainy season, and although we did not get sick, a lot did. It is a guessing game as to what causes the problem. We think the commonality was probably the beach, our impression is that runoff due to rain and terrain may be to blame. We only dove from a boat away from shore and the majority of those getting sick we're snorkelling from shore. This is not a hotel issue, run off does not occur here, but at the far end of the beach. We talked with a couple that was staying the week after as well and they said no one was getting sick and there own illness was over. No Rain. The beach is great busy and quiet depending on day and time.

Water taxi to west end 3$. Great shoreline viewing.

We have been to west bay before and knew what to expect, if you like Roatan you will love Las Sirenas. About 20 hotel rooms 75% Canadian during our week, you knew everyone very quickly. You'll love the mocking birds in the afternoon and starting about 5:30am :-) in the morning. They talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk they are amazing.

We are divers and dove a second time with Mayan Divers which is at the next resort over, great people very professional, but still laid back, appears to be 5/6 divers max per master. Highly recommend using them and very convenient to las sirenas.

We recommend Las Sirenas, and will stay here again. Great Value.

“Roatan is Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This is a small quaint resort. They go out of their way to make you happy, the staff is friendly and hotel was spotless. You are limited on food selection but there are many places to eat within a short distance. On saturday night we were treated to candlelight dinner around the pool, spectacular!. The snorkling right outside the hotel is awesome a definate must!. The clear blue water will amaze you everyday.
If you plan on visiting please take some school supplies for the staff or school as it is still a very poor country and they have to import everything.
We will definately return next year.

“Best of both worlds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

Stayed at La Sirenas for a week and am glad the choice was made to stay there. It is small and quiet allowing for relaxing and quiet time. It is affiliated with Henry Morgan which allows you to walk down the beach and enjoy all a big resort has to offer. Complaints about food are ridiculous as the food is good and made on the resort. Variety is limited but after talking to other resort people it's the same all over. The staff work very hard and are always pleasant. I would suggest this resort to everyone I know.

“Nice hotel, not really all-inclusive!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Try another resort on West Bay beach, if you can't find one, stay here anyway the location is perfect!
Stayed in this hotel and as a hotel it was great! As an all-inclusive resort, not so much! The food was poor to mediocre, you might attribute this to it being a poor country or a small island, except all the restaurants ten feet away have fantastic food! The bar for the hotel is only staffed during meal hours and even when someone is there you treated like an imposition just asking for a drink! I ordered a total of 4 drinks from the bar in a week and just gave up! Had to pay for food and drinks away from the hotel every day!
For better value get the European plan, no meals, no drinks! All this being said the location of this hotel is perfect, it is right on West Bay beach which is the nicest beach on the island! Great snorkeling right outside the hotel! The grounds and pool are beautiful; the rooms spacious and clean; and excellent security.

“First time in Paradise! But not the last!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

First off I have to tell you that for our travel style Roatan is my number one sun destination and trying to find a way to retire here, it's true. And our first stay at Las Sirenas Hotel & Condos started it all off. We stayed in the beach front condo and all I have to say is it was bigger and nicer then my apartment! This place had everything you would want at your house and then some. The staff at the resort will do anything they can for you and because it's such a small place by the second day your chair will even be put out for you on the beach where you prefer to sit. The beach is a good stretch of perfect white sand with crystal clear waters, reminds almost of a swimming pool it's so calm because the reef blocks all the waves from crashing in.

Housekeeping is spot on, drinks are not bad Pina Colada is killer good and their beers taste and refreshing. The meals are not bad they are cocked at the Henry Morgan (owned by same people and its only 2 min away) but plenty to eat. To be honest though the way this Island is laid out and hope it never changes we ended up eating out at the local restaurants more often. The food is really good and very inexpensive. Fosters, Bite on the Beach, Sundowners, Thirsty Turtle just to name a few but the list goes on and on.

Snorkeling and diving our big thing, this place is like no other I have seen so far its paradise. For great snorkeling it's a short walk to the west tip of the Island and you are in the marine park and hours of snorkeling just meters off the shore. For divers well when you get there you will see what I mean you can't NOT find a dive shop or boat they are everywhere.
On top of that you have some good zip lines on the Island, all your standard Parasail, SeaDoos, Nature trails act. Just go explore the place its super safe and loads of fun. And don't forget Friday night in West End it's a great party! Come check it out you won't regret it no matter where you stay and I will let you know how Paradise Beach is as I will be back there in December. Happy travels everyone and stay safe.

A VERY FRIENDLY REMINDER TO ALL DO NOT TOUCH THE CORAL! EVEN IF IT LOOKS JUST LIKE ROCK LEAVE IT ALONE! ONCE YOU TOUCH IT, IT IS DEAD AND WILL NEVER GROW BACK.

Really peeves me off when I am out there and people just stand on it like it nothing and believe me if I see you I will swim over and tell you. Just respect it so we can enjoy it for years to come, please and thank you.
