If you only have a short time in Dominica and you cannot decide what to do or what to see then I suggest you contact Michael at ---. His small company will treat you like royalty for the whole time that you are in his care. A truly personalised service from start to end and at an affordable price, about 70USD per person for the day including lunch and refreshments.
You get to see a lot of scenery, rainforest and you spend the day with an indian tribe, learning about their way of life and really getting immersed into the lifestyle. You visit their homes, learn about the herbal remedies, cooking, you try your hand at weaving and even get a chance to press raw cane to produce a juice that you can drink afterwards. Then you can relax in the natural river or do some river tubing. You can buy some of their goods at a very cheap price. This is not a touristic site it is totally untouched by tourism and everything you see and experience is as a day in the tribes normal daily lifestyle. They will really look after you. Disabled people can also be catered for.
I cannot rave about this trip enough, this day really made a lasting impression on me, and considering I visited 11 other islands that is saying something.
Alternatively if the above mentioned is not to you fancy, send them an email and they will do a different personalised tour for you instead to other things n this beautiful island.
This trip was recommended to me by the Dominican Tourism manager when she came to the World Travel Market in London.
The website is --- but it is a new site so it does not give the full impression, so email Michael instead.
