“Don't bother because they don't”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Went with a voucher and had a fruit to misto which was nice and the pizza was great even though the service was bad but I knew it was new so I let it slide. I then booked a table for 6 for a Christmas lunch yesterday and was embarrassed. The manageress sat and ate lunch and left which is what she had done the time so she was a waste of money to the owners. The corkage is $4.50 per bottle which is too much for an inner west restaurant as was $10 for a small salad. The frito misto was missing the fried mozzarella it had the first time and it is on the menu without apology. The was an $18 special on a signboard saying pasta or pizza and soft drink. We asked the waiter if we could have coffee instead since we had all brought champagne for the Xmas lunch. The waiter said we could. As we ordered we found out 4 of us couldn't have the special because we were having dishes with seafood. The two who ordered the specials were told on bill payment that the coffee could not replace the soft drink and were charged for the coffee but didn't get the soft drink! I ordered the Nutella calzone with strawberries to share. It came only half filled with Nutella and half dry and no strawberries and still charged $18. These guys won't last cause if they don't work to please and keep customers coming back now, they clearly don't know how to run a restaurant .

“First class pizza! Should be better known!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Visited this place for the first time recently. This restaurant has changed hands a number of times over the years. In it's present incarnation, it has a pleasant environment (more up market than in former times), and pleasant, attentive staff. It has an outdoor eating area and a cool, clean interior. The caesar salad was excellent, beautiful home made croutons, crisp lettuce etc. The pizza, a 'half & half' was absolutely huge! Make sure you're hungry if you get one of these. The upside is that most restaurants in this area only serve huge pizzas, too big for one person, but DONT let you do a half and half to share. This one means you can each choose the topping you want, and it's more than ample. Beautiful crisp dough/ base, beautiful, fresh seafood, etc. This is one very good pizza. We've all been in the habit of going next door, but given the crowds there, and the difficulties for the elderly of accessing toilets there, don't hesitate to make the switch. You won't be disappointed, and no such practical difficulties for the disabled / elderly here. Five stars from me. I'll be back to try some of their other dishes soon.
