“Good for overnight stays”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Used the Beach Arms as a stopover on our way to Southampton. We had to register via the bar as reception isn't manned all the time. Room was large and appeared clean, although overall the place was a bit tired looking. Food was limited to a carvery, starters and mains - but was incredibly cheap. Dining room was very busy so plumped for just having a starter in the bar area. Continental breakfast provided was fine, but you could have a cooked one for an extra supplement.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for more than a day or so, but for the price we paid (special summer offer of £25), then nobody could complain.

Beach Arms is Inn with a Crown Cauvery in the village of Oakley has a small number for rooms about 20 we arrived late at night so not many staff around, as it was a weekday in March it was. It was in a nice small village which is properly why on dark nights and on the edge of the village was lacking in customers. That being said staff where friendly and efficient, the breakfast was of a good standard. We had the free continental breakfast that comes with the Inn Keepers stay which was just what we wanted. However for a small supplement there was a full cooked breakfast available and a number of the locals came in during our stay just for the cooked breakfast, so it must have been good value locally to attract them. The room was clean and may have been recently decorated it had everything we wanted and for £29 for two for the night was great value. We hope to go back sometime and in the future and explore the area and stay here.
