Just returned from a weeks stay at The Pantheon. Hotel is lovely, clean rooms, stunning views, great food and Janet and her family are the star attraction. She made our holiday shine. Very friendly and have never experience such a lovely hotel owner.
The only downside I felt was the resort itself, Kefalos has been hit by the recession for sure. The resort was like a ghost town, barely saw more than 1 or 2 people in a restaurant at any one time. Nightlife was none existent, and everything is too far stretched, at least a 45 min walk to the harbour, which boasted nightlife, but unfortunately, it didnt exist. I am 31 and wanted somewhere to have a drink and dance, with 20-30 somethings, and there was no such place. We ended up staying at the Hotel each night. If Janet put on some more entertainment in addition to the Sunday quiz/bbq night, she'd be onto a goldmine! I cannot fault the hotel at all, it was the resort of Kefalos that I have to say I will not return to. Also - Word of warning, make sure you buy all your toiletries and sun cream at home! We ran out and went to get some more at the local supermarkets, and they wanted between 14-19 euros for a bottle of Ambre Solaire/Nivea! Crazy prices! There is no such thing as a bargain in Greece anymore!
