“Great ... except the wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

The food is excellent. The building is wonderful. There is a really nice walking trail through the woods. You can see maple syrup being made and enjoy samples of maple toffee. The downside ... in busy times the wait including standing in line and waiting for food is about 2 hours.

“wedding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

Recently had a wedding here, beautiful place. Food was good everyone seemed to have enough although a bit slow getting everything out to all the tables...but worth the wait.
The wedding planner was at times difficult to deal with as it took her forever to email back, if at all. Organizing some things for the seating/meals did seem to be a challenge.
But at the end of it all, the reception went off without a hitch (at least from what I could tell).
Great bar staff, beautful location (only thing going against location is it is about a 20 min drive from the nearest town with hotels, but that wasn't a huge issue).

“Dream Wedding - Amazing Experience !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We knew right away that we wanted to get married at Temple’s Sugar Camp on our first visit. The rustic, country feel resonates through the building and across the grounds. The attention to details in the landscape and outdoor decor is unbelievable and the extensive flower beds and gorgeous field of perfectly trimmed grass gives the yard a farm feeling while being clean and classy. The inside of the amazing red building is the perfect mix between a cottage and an antique barn. The open cedar is natural and needs little to no extra decoration to make your event feel comfortable and elegant. The food is amazing. I may be one of the pickiest eaters on the planet and I absolutely loved every dish that we chose for our wedding dinner. We still have guests commenting on how amazing the meal was and a lot of them have been trying to re-create the maple vinaigrette that was served with our salads. There was quite a lot of selection when choosing our meal and we were able to pick and choose a variety of dishes to make up our preferred wedding dinner. Although the vegeratian dish was untraditional and I had my doubts that our guests would enjoy it, they all had nothing but amazing things to say about it. The room held our 150 guests very comfortably and once dinner was over the tables were pushed to the side to make plenty of room for dancing. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and their hard work and devotion to the property definitely shows. Charles was there himself in the kitchen all night making sure everything was perfect and then came out to see if everything was to our liking. It was very nice to see him there that night and to see that he cared so much about our experience. Our ceremony was scheduled to be outside in the gardens but at the last minute we were hit with some rain and this meant everything had to be moved inside very quickly. The switch was amazingly fast, the tables were already set up for dinner but the staff moved them into rows and made the room look like a ceremony site in less than 15 minutes. Then after the ceremony they were returned to their dinner states immediately. Long story short, we had an amazing wedding day and would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a simply beautiful country venue.

“Great Food and Hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We were 4 adults and a 2 and 4 year old. First we took the trail hike through the woods and over the bridges to work up an appetite. Then we checked out the evaporator and dining room. We had a very congenial waitress and decided on the meal for 4 which gave us more than enough great food with lots of variety. The french toasts are special, pumpkin and cornbread.

“Best pancakes and syrup in Ontario”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Had a great time! Pancakes were excellent and they leave a jar of syrup on the table so you can have as much as you want. The service was great. The waitress came over several times to ask if we needed anything or would we like more coffee. There was no rushing us even though it was a sunday. Their syrup is very reasonably priced. You can check out the vats and the making of the syrup. They also have a trail through the sugar bush. I loved it!!!!!
