We visited Ask on a early Sunday evening. We were greeted with a noise level that made you want to reach for the earplugs ! Lots of very unhappy young children to say the least perhaps it was because the poor service was making them wait along time for their dinner ! This said because the food is reasonably good normally and we wanted to use our tastecard we stayed. My first disappointment was my starter, which I don't remember it saying burnt dough balls on the menu ! sent them back and was given some cheesy garlic bread on the house as a replacement, which was nice. The wait was way to long for any other food. When the main course eventually showed it was a huge let down. I ordered the vegetarian salad which is normally very good either at Ask or at Prezzos . I needed a magnifying glass to see what I was eating, such a small dish of food not even up to a child portion. The salads are normally huge and i am normally beaten but on this occasion left still needing to eat a three course meal. We then decided to leave as had , had enough and I needed the nurofen ! The saving grace though was a guy who I think must have been the manager who was a true gent, so polite and couldn't be sorry enough, and seemed genuinely pleased to see you. I just don't feel he has the full support of his staff.
