Stayed here for one night on a work trip (1st Nov). Generally a nice hotel, rooms were clean (except for stain on bed throw), bathroom very
clean, bed was comfortable, no stealable toiletries though : (. Breakfast was continental with a selection of cereals, pastries, fruit etc.

It was only a £1 to get the bus into town which was about a 15-20 min journey, probably not an ideal location if you want to be near the centre but perfect for our work thing which was next door.

There is a huge shopping centre right across the way with the Royal Britannia yacht outside. One warning! you can get the no. 35 bus to the airport from outside but it takes a painfully long time, stopping at every industrial estate and shopping centre on the way, i am not exaggerating when i say it took an hour and a half!!! (it was rush hour though), much quicker to get the bus into town and then the airport one from there

i have just returned from 4nights in this hotel, although there were no major problems it was distinctly average, room was clean bust bed was not very comfy breakfast was very limited and the seating area was no where big enough to seat every one! we had to wait 15 mins for a table one morning, staff were friendly and helpful, the location is ok only a 10 min bus ride to centre of city (use the no 22 as its fastest) there is a bus (the no 35) that go's from airport to the hotel but takes you on a tour of every part of city and industrial estate on route!! best way would be airport express to city centre then change all in all not bad for the price but not as good as some express by holiday inn's

I stayed at this hotel recently for one night with my partner. I choose this location above a city centre one as I knew Edinburgh quite well and wanted to try somewhere a bit different. Also at only £69 with breakfast included I thought it was very good value for money.

As previous reviews have said it is very easy to get to by bus even if you don't know where you are getting off you can spot the hotel as the bus stops right outside.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything that we needed for a short stay. I was worried about noise having been given a ground floor room near reception but had no problems. There was plenty on choice for breakfast and it was good quality.

There are some nice restuarants and pubs in Leith, however having arrived in the evening by the time we went out it was dark and some areas were not so plesant to walk through when we didn't know where we were going. In the daytime there are lots of shops at the Ocean Terminal.

Overall this was a good hotel for a short break and excellent value for money but for a longer trip somewhere central would probably be more convenient.

I stayed at this hotel w/a friend for a weekend in Edinburgh and absolutely loved it! The location was great b/c it was outside of the city center but transportation was a breeze. The bus stop is literally in front of the hotel, and the buses run very often...we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for one. There are lots of restaurants and a few bars in the area that we tried out. There was also some shopping, which we did not do. The staff was wonderful with recommendations, and the rooms were awesome. The only downfall was that the hotel had no air conditioning but it was cool in April...and a sign stated that they would be getting air very soon. Perfect place to stay in my opinion, and I would definitely stay there again. Especially since it was a wonderful price!
