I honesty couldnt fault this hotel. Me and my girlfriend were in Edinburgh on a sightseeing wkend and had driven up from Leeds. The first thing i would say is this was one of the only hotels i found close to the city centre which had free parking at the hotel. The convenience to get into Edinburgh is better than I imagined, £1 each way on the bus(the 22 is the quickest), the bus stop is literally immediately outside the hotel so dont need to walk and the longest we waited for a bus over the 3 days was about 30 seconds, no joke! The bus service(even on sunday) was incredible! Total journey to Princes street(city centre) on the bus is about 10 mins max(approx 2 miles away). The bus also drops u off right opposite the hotel on the way back and u catch the 22 bus from lots and lots of bus stops over the city centre.
Aside from that the hotel is in a great location nice area and lots of restaurants, there are about 10 very good restaurants within 5 mins walk from the hotel and a huge shopping and cinema complex opposite. For the restaurants turn left out of the hotel and then first left, you can see them all lit up.
The rooms themselves were fine, clean and quite modern, with a nice bathroom and large shower. Breakfast was continental and very good i thought.
If your lookin to stay in edinburgh and want a reasonably priced hotel with free parking, good places to eat nearby and a fantastic public transport service to get u into the city, this is the place.
