“Great Restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Went here for my birthday yesterday, with our 6 week old baby in tow. We were made very welcome, the service was great and the food delicious. Highly recommended.

“Sunday lunch buffet, not enough food for everyone”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

We visited for the Sunday lunch buffet at 10.95 each. On arrival we were made to feel a little like we should have previously booked, which we were not aware of, but they managed to squeeze us in.

They mixed up the drinks orders, and indeed looked confused when I ordered, but it was rectified quickly.

The quality of the food was lovely, very tasty and nicely presented, I just felt there wasn't enough for everyone. There was often queues for the food, and definitely not enough out at the right times, especially of the deserts, and starters.

The main attraction for the deserts was pancakes, of which they could only make one at once so it took an age. The restaurant advertises the Sunday lunch buffet as child friendly, so deserts are a must! The only other option was fresh fruit, of which they had run out continuously. Why not have a larger pan so you can make more than one pancake at once?!

All in, the food is absolutely lovely, but the restaurant has no atmosphere at all, and there was not enough food for everyone which caused queues. We may go back to try the main menu, but feel the bill of £38 for two adults and a child for buffet lunch is rather high-We pay this for the centre of Leeds or Manchester prices, but in Ossett is a little too high.

“Food fantastic but still not quite the full package”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

I live in Ossett so would really like to give this place 5 stars. However, despite going there regularly, I cannot.
The food is very good indeed- if anything it is improving. The portion sizes seem larger than when it first opened. The sea bass with lime is fantastic, pad Thai is fantastic.
Why not 5 stars? Well for the prices you pay in Ossett (my wife and I never spend less than £70 not including any tip, for two starters, three dishes, 2 rices and a bottle of wine) it needs everything to be spot on and match the food.
The service in bringing out the food when they are busy is sometimes very slow. If you go on a Saturday expect it to be about an hour until you get your main course.
Some of the waiters and waitresses are not very friendly, but in some cases it may be a language barrier.
The toilets still have a sign on them apologising for their appearance - this has been the same since it opened and you don't get this eating at the top Leeds Thai restaurants at similar prices.
malagor just needs to up their game a little more to get a rating worthy of the food.

“Great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Walked down from the holiday inn with a gamble that we could get a table. Just a ten minute walk.

We were greated on our arrival and took a seat whilst a short wait for a table. With in five minutes we were seated at our table.

The meal was fantastic and great value for money.

The service was good and we left knowing we would return in the future.

Well worth a visit.

“Excellent Vegetarian Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We chose the vegetarian banquet and it was excellent. All the food was very well presented and tasted great - just the right amount of spices and flavouring. The staff were really thoughtful, friendly and very efficient. I can't recommend this restaurant too highly.
