This was the first place we stayed at during a 2 week holiday in the Piedmont region. We stayed in the green apartment for 4 nights.
The apartment was spacious enough, with a clean and modern bathroom and a large bedrom. The lounge area was OK for 2 people, and the kitchen equipment enough for cold lunches. It was also very clean. The bedroom has full length shutters that open out to the car park, so unfortunately you rarely feel like using them due to the lack of privacy it causes. The lounge also has full length doors that open out onto the terrace area at the back of the property.
The worst thing about the room was the very uncomfortable bed. The mattress was very hard and thin, only 1 thin hard pillow each was provided and the sheets were basic. We ended up using the cushions from the sofa in the lounge! This reason alone would probably stop us staying here again.
There is a swimming pool, but it's a good 200m from the main house and looks like it actually sits on someone else's land! Breakfast is not included in the standard room rate, but is available for €8 per person. It varied greatly from day to day, being really quite nice on our first day and a little basic on others. We have to say that the check-in arrangements are also very limited, with the expectation that everyone checks in between 6pm and 7pm! We arrived 30mins late to a very sour looking lady who was clearly just about to drive away.
So after all this, should you stay here? If you need an apartment with kitchen facilities, then it's a guarded yes. However if you just want a room, we think a much nicer place is Bricco dei Cogni which is literally just 1 minute further up the same road. This was €95 a night inc. breakfast (rather than €106), was much more comfortable, had a nicer pool area, better breakfasts and nicer owners.
