“authentic whale watching, snorkeling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012 NEW

The trip was everything we needed, we were well fed and very well provided for. The outstanding aspect was the knowledge, dedication and warmth from all the crew on board. I felt like we were getting an extra ordinary trip into a world they knew so well, not just a tourist junket. Buy a membership before you go, tax deductible and gives you priority boarding, plus just a plain old good cause to support.

“Best Snorkelling Trip EVER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012 NEW

What a fabulous morning we had snorkelling at Molokini and then in Turtle Bay. Everyone on board the boat was professional and friendly. I loved the fact that safety was priority #1, and we were given lots of information about the reefs and the foundation. Breakfast and Lunch are included in the price, as are snorkles and masks (including prescription masks!) and flippers.

The best part was hearing the whales singing!
Planning a return trip to Maui this January, and the Pacific Whale Foundation is right at the top if my list for a day trip to see the turtles and listen for whales!

“Top class tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012 NEW

My wife and I took the Molokini Snorkel and Dolphin Tour and until I got seasick as the water was very choppy that day it was a great experience. The highlights of the tour was having a family of bottlenose dolphins swim and play with the boat, Seeinng a family of sea turtles and Manta Ray breach the water. The Molokini snorkel was excellent lots of marine life around the crater but since there are so many tour operators going to this crater it was very busy. With regards to the tour operatorsThe staff is top class, marine educators, serving staff, life guards bartenders, cooks you name it they did it. The main reason we choose PWF is that this is not for profit organization and all the proceeds goes back to Marine conservation.

“Wonderful dolphin watch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

The guides were extremely knowledgeable about the dolphins found near Maui. We found a pod of spinner dolphins. They are a nonprofit and provide knowledge about Eco tourism and protecting the beautiful wildlife. We would choose them for any tour.

“Lana'i snorkel trip from Lahaina”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

Pacific Whale Foundation also has a location in Lahaina and has trips that leave from there. We took the Lana’i snorkel trip a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it. We went out into the bay, and got a quick sighting of a whale tail just before it dove below the surface (we were there at the end of whale watching season). We saw a great big group of spinner dolphins. The snorkeling spot was pretty great too. The food was pretty good: fresh fruit with banana bread for breakfast, and grilled chicken and pasta salad for lunch. Most of the staff was really friendly and helpful. One staff member seemed a little stern with people (e.g., she gave me a hard stare when I asked for water as we were coming in, and cautioned that I would have to drink if fast because no open containers were allowed as they were close to shore). It was windy during our week in Hawaii, and the afternoons were worse. This meant that our trip back to Maui was pretty rough seas, but we managed. All in all, a pretty professional outing. I’d use them again for other trips in the future.
