“Very Pretty Local Bizarre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We visited Sirince after Ephesus. A beautiful village high in the mountains with great views. The bizarres sold lots of local crafts and were very colourful. We had lunch in one of the many cafes and again the Turkish hospitality and kindness were great.

Definitely worth a visit.

“Serene, Pretty, Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We wish we had spent more time at this beautiful village. The wines made at the village are one of the best found in the region. Every street and corner is scenic and a candidate for a beautiful photograph. Spend time here, roam its alleys and if you have the time consider spending a couple of nights as well. Dolmuses ( Mini Buses ) run frequently from Selcuk Bus Station and tickets are priced at a moderate 3TL per person.

“Great location to visit Ephesus from”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We had two nights in this lovely hill top village. Make sure you wander further up the hill where it is less touristy. Had a great meal at the Can Restaurant - thank you Camhur you made us feel like part of your family. His family have lived there for generations. Also try to find Ali the soap seller, the olive shampoo is amazing. He is in the bazaar.

“Local Markets and Town Becoming a Tourist Haven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Local goods include handmade felt products, wines, and olive oils to name only the most popular.
The streets, shops, cafe's and restaurants are basic and serve simple, tasty local food with fresh herbs and flavours.

“A 'must' from Selcuk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We visited today, leaving by Dolmus from the Otogar - TL3.00, and visited Sirince. We arrived at 11.20 and spent 2+ hours pottering through tiny streets, up steep hills and photographing the views. We were surprised at how few tourists or their buses were there at this time. We stumbled on a wine bottling plant which allowed us to watch the processing FOC and then indulged in some low key, no heavy sell wine tasting. There were street vendors with immaculately arranged stalls, but at no time were we hassled to buy. We went to a recommended restaurant (absolutely great) above the church, which we will review at a later date. We left by 1.30, just as things were getting busier, so advise arriving in time for a. Early lunch!
