“quaint and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2011

We stayed here booking on the off chance for 1 night in early April. The cost was £60 per night for a double room which had a toilet and shower room. We think this was a bit expensive but maybe if we haggled it might have been cheaper. We received a warm welcome. The bedroom was a little small but very cosy and Greek in style It was clean. A real bonus after a day our walking was a plentiful supply of very hot water.
Breakfast was on the roof terrace behind the pansion but it gave us great views and there was plenty of fresh produce on the breakfast table to enjoy.
There is car parking but it is about 100 metres away and there is a slight climb which could be a problem for people who have mobility problems. The proprietor did offer to collect our cases so do ask for help if you need it.
Sirince is a charming village with a Greek heritage rather than Turkish but it disappointed. We tried two wine bars and neither went out of there way to welcome us or provide us with good food. In fact in one place the food was poor.
The impression we got was that the village makes it money from the hordes of coaches that descend upon it and stay for a couple of hours. It seems that stall holders and restaurants are happy to make a quick sale and care less about those who have more time and want to savour the place.
If you are a keen walker there are various trails you can consider. I
n my view Selcurk nearby is a more interesting place to spend time in.

We stayed at this pension for two days last month. The owner of this pension and his wife were very kind people. The rooms of this pension are very clean and comfortable and the most, very interesting. And at this pension they serve you an incredible breakfast which is included to the at the night room staying price. The village this pension is inside was an old Greek village and the Turkish villagers there still continue there to produce wonderful wines according to the old Greek traditions, very delicious wines. The village is in a beautiful nature, surrounded with forests and mountains and has many souvenir, wine and carpet etc. shops. From this village you can easily drive to the House of the Virgin Mary (It is believed that the Virgin Mary lived together with St. Paul in this house in the last years of her life after she leaved Jerusalem), the very interesting Ephesos Ancient City, to the Dilekadası Milli Parkı (Kalamaki National Park) to swim and sunbath which is a wonderful National Park where the pine etc. trees come down as far as the coast and you can swim, sunbath and picnic there and from Sirince you can easily drive to Kusadasi for shopping, entertainment at bars and night clubs or for a romantic dinner. Or you can drive to the Kusadası Adaland Aqua park to enjoy yourself. The ancient archeological ancient towns of Miletos and Priene are also near. And in Selcuk you can see historical places. I will add the photos during our stay there in the very near future to this review.

  • Liked — The village, its nature and the very interesting type and decoration of the rooms at the pension
  • Disliked — It is difficult to park your car there (streets of the village are very narrow) and second to get upstairs is a little bir difficult (narrow and steep staircase)
