“Tired looking budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Well located and inexpensive
But a bit tired looking, the whole building could use a make-over
I had a single room with ac and cable tv for 450 p, i guess that's as cheap as it gets in the philippines...there was also room listed for 350 p with fan, but it never was available, i checked it every day
However, the room became unbearable hot during a power cut, and they weren't in any hurry to fire up the generator...the window could not be opened!
There are nearby food options, like the restaurant on the corner on the main road, just 100 meters or so...downtown is within walking distance, and for some reason there are many bakeries, open 24 hours...

The staff are all nice, the room is clean and good enough for the three of us, location is very accessible to the market by tricycle or habal-habal. The only problem is that they don't have restaurant, but we can buy food close to the hotel. Wonderful vacation indeed.

Our room was big enough for the two of us. From benoni port to Mambajao is approximately 20-30 minutes drive by "Habal-habal" or Single motorbike. Lots of bakeries outside the hotel. You have to drive for about 10-20 minutes just to find a small restaurant to eat.

Rate ranges PHP 400-1000.

For a first time solo traveler, GV Hotel is an option. If you just need a place to sleep after a long travel this would be like a "ok" place, but if you want something relaxing I won't recommend this place. I think most GV hotels have almost the same architectural structure. For those who have stayed in other GV Hotels , you'll experience the same accommodation that you had.

this i would say is a blessing. went to camiguin with no accomodation at the time of lanzones festival. good thing they got a free room still. stayed 4 days, the room was big enough for a solo traveller i could invite 1 more. ive got a clean rest room, functioning A/C clean and good smelling linens and a cable tv.. it would be good if the hotel has a real cafeteria next time so that guest don't have to go out esp. at night to get food. you can buy food at the front desk (noodles, chips, coffee) if it could last you the whole night...staff are always on call and willing to help.. my 4 day stay cost me 3,000 pesos fair enough to think it's festival season.. access to transportation from this hotel is good
