“Fun for kids, go for the oranges !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

The place is quite big, crowded during Passover, but still enough place to find a quieter corner for a picnic. There are a lot of attractions for kids, especially in hot weather it is more fun as the water- based attractions are opened. Cueing is quite long at several attractions, try to get there earlier. Oranges are great, kids loved picking them from the trees,a fee of 15 NIS is required for those wanting to take some oranges at home (representing the equivalent of a large bag of oranges which you pick by yourself). The place is quite clean even when crowded. The entrance fee is quite high if you get directly to the entrance without previous arrangements- try to find discounts in advance. Also, it might be advisable to come prepared for picnic with friends and family and try to get a place with grass around it. Nevertheless, there is a cafeteria which also serves good basic food. Another tip: bring swimming suits for kids and towels - they really need them!

“Expensive and hard to find”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

We are visitors from Australia who wanted to visit this attraction because we had found it on things for kids to do in Israel.
We found the website but there are only very vague driving directions, with a note to call Yoav for directions. But what does a visitor do who has no local phone.

For those wishing to drive there is a small road to the right off highway 65 travelling east just before you hit a gas station, about 3Km from the intersection of highway 2, travelling north.

We found the entry cost quite high, especially considering a number of the activities were closed for winter, or were under renovation. Children ages 2 - 15 ILS64, everyone else ILS42, so for our family of 6 the cost was ILS296.
At least 1 of the attractions is restricted to children over 1.3m tall; eliminating both our children.

Overall the kids had fun, but it was busy because it is not open that often, and they missed many of the activities.

Interestingly the guide given to you when you enter has a map showing the location; not much use if you've already found it, something it took us more than 15 minutes to do.

“Shvil Hatapuzim, Hadera, Israel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is by far the nicest adventure with young kids. It's an old citrous orchard turned into wonderland by hand - an older mechanic and his son, who created all the attractions themselves. There's nothing of the ubiquitous stuff, everything is unique. Teens are too old, though. Delicious both summer with water attractions and winter with oranges to pick.

“Good time with the kids”

Good attractions, for a wide variety of children ages (even very young).
But come early, before it's too crowded...
