“One night stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Clean quiet and comfortable. Close to a lovely white sand beach. This was ideal for our stay and just what we needed when we arrived feeling jaded from a week at work. I agree with a previous comment though about the owner who who was hell bent on advising us about the local area when we hadn't asked for this! Perhaps asking people if they would like information first rather than being over friendly would be a better approach but overall this is a great place to stay and inexpensive.

Room Tip: The standard room was perfect for one night as we were out all day

The owner could not have done more to help us! Unfortunately we underestimated how long the journey from Sydney to Vincentia would take via public transport and only stayed one night. However, the owner was brilliant in giving us tips on how to get about, where to go and helped to transport us around, all with the utmost enthusiasm. We opted for a spa room, and were happy with what welcomed us. The room was very spacious and the bed was so comfy I had the best night's sleep in a long time! The swimming pool/spa although a little small was lovely in the evening to relax in and was very warm and clean.

The only downside was that we didn't stay for longer! My partner and I will definitely be returning and next time with a car so we can explore Boodereee.

We just love staying here. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Love the king size bed, very comfortable. Just wish we had more time to spend here. Close to all the best beaches. I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Andrew is very helpful and provides information on the best places to see in the area and how to get there. There are plenty of places nearby to eat out. Vincentia, Huskisson or even Nowra is not far away. Shops and beaches within walking distance. Very impressed!

Room Tip: We found the standard rooms excellent!

We used this as our base to spend one day exploring Jervis Bay. Our room here was fairly spacious, although we found the room quite dark and not as welcoming as it could have been since it had brick walls and needed a floor lamp or bigger window. The bathroom fan was very loud and didn’t appear to do much. Location was about a 10 minute walk to town where we had coffee shops, a grocery store and some restaurants to choose from, although not many are open on a Monday night.

Warning: The owner is very enthusiastic about the area to the point where you will receive a 30minute (obviously rehearsed) speech on the area about what to do and what not to do whether you want it or not. My partner and I are extensive travelers and we would have liked to be able to have those 30 minutes to go out and see things in the area rather than hear about the owners favourite things.

I have absolutely no complaints, we stayed here for 1 night and it was in a great location, clean and spacious room, great spa bath, nicely furnished, easy parking...And Andrew was very helpful and gave us an excellent run down to local amenities, attractions and recommendations. I would say good value for money and would stay again.

Recently tripped around the South Coast and spent a night here. On arrival we were welcomed so warmly and given lots of information about the area.
It's easy to find and centrally located. A quick drive to many great beaches and a short walk to shops in Vincentia and the beach.
Our room was massive however a little dark. The furnishings were modern and the bed was gigantic as was the tv.
The bed was very comfy.
The shower room and toiletries supplied were welcome.
The pool/spa was heaven although small but seriously so relaxing.
It is hard to see the turn off for the accommodation at night time. There was a light right outside our door which meant on arriving back there were hundreds of flies on our door and some managed to sneak in when we were going into the accommodation which was annoying. If only the lights were on sensor this could be avoided but I couldn't fault the accommodation otherwise. I would recommend it.

My wife and I spent a weekend in a spa room at the Dolphin Shores in early December 2012. The owner was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of information on the local area. First impression was how clean the room was. The brick walls made it a little dark, not a major issue overall. Liked the way the owner published his plans for improving the motel. My wife loved he bed while I felt it was a little hard. Location was ideal with Coles and a small shopping centre about a five minute walk. There was a also a walkway that lead along the foreshore from Vincentia to Huskisson. Beautiful walk with lots of birds that took about 40 minutes each way. It was a lovely way to start the day, a walk down to Huskisson have breakfast then walk back.

Room Tip: Not an issue.
