“Clean and Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

My wife and I spent a weekend in a spa room at the Dolphin Shores in early December 2012. The owner was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of information on the local area. First impression was how clean the room was. The brick walls made it a little dark, not a major issue overall. Liked the way the owner published his plans for improving the motel. My wife loved he bed while I felt it was a little hard. Location was ideal with Coles and a small shopping centre about a five minute walk. There was a also a walkway that lead along the foreshore from Vincentia to Huskisson. Beautiful walk with lots of birds that took about 40 minutes each way. It was a lovely way to start the day, a walk down to Huskisson have breakfast then walk back.

Room Tip: Not an issue.

We stayed 2 nights at Dolphin shores in Vincentia and was so impressed. The rooms were clean and perfect. Even the bed was so comfortable & huge TV.
Surrounded by the bush and birdlife it was amazing sitting on the porch having coffee, listening to all the birds. What a tranquil place. The owners were great and really communicated with us.

We really loved our stay at Dolphin Shores and we are already planning our next one. Jervis Bay is an amazing place and Dolphin Shores' owner just makes it perfect. He was really welcoming and friendly, spending a lot of time giving us advices on where to go, what to see, the best walks, the best beaches to visit. The room was huge, really clean and comfortable. We definitely recommend it.

We stayed one night and had the standard spa room. The room was very clean and a reasonable size but had a dated feel with the exposed brick walls. We were expecting something a bit more modern for a 4 star hotel. Foxtel or Austar would have been good for the evening too considering there isn't anything do at night in the area once you've finished dinner. Well located, only a 5 minute drive to Huskisson where there are lots of dinner options, Coles is walking distance and Hyams Beach and the National Park are only a short drive away.

Not recommended for a romantic weekend away, better suited to families.

Hi we stayed at their cheapest room....but it was not cheap for the provisions....it had a large king size bed plus a single bed for our kid...LCD TV , tea coffee maker, fridge and the stuff..but no microwave.....that's for one level up.but the microwave didn't make a difference as we stayed for a night....but the best thing was the proprietors gave you a decent brief of what you could do in and around the area..the eating spots, the sigh seeing etc.....and that was very helpful and useful......the room was large nd comfortable ....with sufficient toiletries and linen provided.....milk was provide for tea and coffee at the time of check in...and we were asked whether we were going to leave early or late the next day....the motel is located at VIncentia....but that doesn't make any difference as in jervis bay everything is close by...huskisson was 5 mins drive and the famous e HYams beach a 10-12 min drive......on the whole this place was absolutely value for money....there is a Coles nearby just walking distance and also there are a few eating joints next to it...some of which close a bit early...but plenty of places n huskisson to o and eat a late dinner....but we did what was suggested by the proprietor.....packed our dinner and went t eat by the ocean....just wonderful.....as far as jervis bay is concerned...it is a hidden secret...just too beautiful..lots of places to see.....lovely beaches...just go to anyone and sit down for ages..lithe water is clear and welcoming....people very friendly.........on the whole a must for any one insisting australia....on the whole I m glad I didn't book a more expensive beach facing cottage...as this one was perfect for and things were as per specifications as mentioned n their websites...like our room said only a toaster and no microwave and that's what was there...so no cribs n that....a wonderful stay and experience..

Room Tip: The owner has discount punchers for the few boat rides which move out of huskisson...so ask for one...

This was a lovely haven in Jervis Bay. Our room was the cheapest option- the standard room- and it was huge! The bed was very comfortable, and everything was very clean indeed. The tv and other facilities worked well, there was ample parking, and really there was nothing to be improved upon.

We didn't have the introduction with the manager that others have written about- but the receptionist was really friendly and gave us loads of great tips of where to go. We used these, and she definitely advised us very well indeed.

The motel is well situated for exploration around the area- it's very close to Hyam Bay (where you can see the whitest sand in the world!) and the Booderee National Park. It's a few minutes' drive to Huskisson, where the restaurants etc can be found.

I would recommend this without reservation- for the cost, you could really not ask for anything more.

The missus and I stayed here last weekend for 3 days. We arrived after hours for the reception work hours but Andrew was happy to accomodate our 9.30pm arrival. He was welcoming and friendly, giving us access to a great room straight away.
A word of warning - the website states that Andrew greets guests with a 20 minute speech, in our case this was closer to an hour! A little lower on the detail would have been great. An hour in the reception learning about the area is good but I'd rather be out doing it!
5 minutes walk to the nearest beach where we were promised dolphin sightings 2 times out of 5. We saw zero sadly.

That said the motel is ideally located for access to the National Park, which is well worth a visit, as well as nearby areas: Huskisson and Hyams. Very quiet in terms of restaurants/bars/evening entertainment but plenty to do during the day.

Overall - a fantastic long weekend. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Harbour area for a quiet and relaxing weekend.
