Having purchased Groupon vouchers previously for other hotels, I had expected to be going to a "wanna be" hotel trying to boost business out of season and then treat the staff like something you'd scrape off your shoe... Well it's not, OK, the hotel building is a little dated and the rooms do seem to have some dampness in the air (chambre staff know this and the rooms are well aired to try and resolve the issue)
The room itself was large, with all neccessities (again a little dated with the CRT TV)... But everything worked fine.
The deal we purchased included diner at the "Castle" part of the hotel. It's a little walk away, but once you get there it's enchanting. Food is very good (limited choice on the weekly menu), but what was server up was delightful
Breakfast the following morning was a treat as well. All seemed very fresh and the table staff were continually brining out fresh stuff (scrambled eggs, bacon, juices, pastries) as they noticed the stocks go down... Even at 11:30AM
Lastly worth mentioning is the staff. Every single member of staff tried their best to ensure customer satisfaction and friendly with it.
For those that have complained about the inaccessibility of the hotel without a car... May I suggest a little pre planning when going on holiday to check the place meets your requirements
This hotel is a guaranteed a return visit
