“Lovely relaxing hotel with excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

We first stayed here in January 2012 and experienced some problems like never before. (See previous review). Whilst not satisfied with the Hotel Group's Senior Management's response at the time, we were convinced that the same problems would not occur again... I am pleased to report that we had an excellent short stay last weekend. The food was as good as we remembered and it is still managed to an exceptionally high standard for breakfast & dinner. Hard pushed to better anywhere! This time is out of season, or at least the snow had melted and we paid a lot less for a lovely room. Quiet, clean, comfortable & great views (much better than the one one I paid a lot for last time!) The staff were superb. Michel & Araya on reception, Peter, our main waiter and the bar staff - all professional and friendly. I am not going to add much more than to say if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Tyrol this should be high on your list. In the winter it is ideally located (ski to the door). Great facilities - free wifi throughout (some hotels still charge for it!). Loved our time here and likely to return, just not during the first 2 weeks of January!!

Very good hotel with perfect localisation when you ski (on ski slope). Comfortable rooms, big swimming pool, amazing saunas (only for adults). Delicious breakfast and dinner. Very good soups, appetizers, main courses, desserts. Workers of restaurant everyday offer you sparkling wine for breakfast. Staff extremely friendly. We would like to return to this hotel again. We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: some rooms like 202 are bigger then others (look on my photos with florplan)

We stayed for a long weekend. Modern hotel with a pool, solarium, small gym and sauna.

There is a parking garage which costs 15 euro a day, but you can also park in front of the hotel for free.

The location is perfect. You can ski from the ski-slope direct to the hotel. Direct across the hotel is the practice ski-slope. Ski/ snowboard rental is a 3 minute walk away, so are the 2 main ski- gondolas to take you up the mountain.
There is a skiroom with lockers in the basement.

The standard room is pretty big with a safe, flat screen tv, mini bar, separate toilet and bathroom and enough closet space to hang your clothes.
The bathroom has a window so you can look into the bathroom from the bed, but you can close it with a panel if you're looking for some privacy.
It also has a couch which can be pulled out and serve as a bed I think. There is a small balcony with one seat only unfortunately.

Our reservation included half board( breakfast + dinner).
The hotel has three restaurants connected to each other by a central room where the breakfast buffet/ salad bar is bring served. The tables in the restaurant are placed very close to another so a private conversation isn't very private.
Breakfast was outstanding. Alot of choice. Different kind of bread, sausages, make to order eggs, cereals, fruit etc..
Dinner consists of 4 - 5 courses, with 3 choices for the main course. While breakfast was outstanding, dinner was ok. Not really to write home about. The portion of the main course was a bit on the small side.
Drinks were a bit on the pricey side, considering what you pay at the restaurants on the ski slope, in my opinion. Service was friendly but not very fast.

The pool is a bit on the small side when the hotel is fully booked and there are not alot of beds at the pool, but a dip in the pool after a hard day's at the slope is very refreshing.
There is a small gym and the sauna is open from 16.30.

What surprised us, was how quite the hotel is while we were in our room. The hotel was supposed to be fully booked, but we couldn't hear much from others in our room.

All in all a great stay and we will be back if the occasion arrises.

We stayed over new year's and had a fantastic time! The location is ideal as directly at ski tracks and the ski school is just opposite the hotel. The hotel room was very nice and we liked the attention to detail. Food was very nice as well with mix of buffet and a la carte, special new year's dinner and live band. Haven't tried the spa, but heard nice things about this as well. The kids club was nice with great afternoon activities (after all the skiing etc). Staff was friendly and well-organised... happy family, great hotel :-))

We stayed for a week ,mainly due to hotel location - on the slope ! Hard to beat ! It is a great thing to get out of the lobby and get to the ski lift in 20 seconds !

Hotel is designed around the family vacation concept. Large rooms, pool area , half board meal plans, kids playing room , ski lockers in the basement....everything planned to ease up the hassle of equipping yourself every morning for skiing and go on the slopes.

Food quite ok, but they can definitely improve on service ! Also, kids menus are limited , so if you want more choices , just step out and walk 50 meters to the S4 Almhutte - great Tyrolean and international meals .

Everything was very good. The staff, the room, housekeeping, food were all very good and the location was excellent. My stay was with a group for the Freeride World Tour but I assume this place would be great for any trip.
