We visited this restaurant as we were all in need of a good Dutch pancake and had heard from family members who live in Almere that this was the place to go. The restaurant is actually a boat and sits on the water, quite the unique setting. My daughter had a choice of a variety of kids pancakes (she opted for one with a face on it created out of sweets and whipped cream) and my dad and myself went for some more adult options such as the apple and brandy raisins (boerenjongens) one and the apple and bacon one. The waitress made a real effort for my daughter, she was given some crayons and paper to play with, as well as the fact that they made sure her pancake came first. She was also given a balloon as well as a mug in the shape of a lobster (in which her ice cream had been) when we left. The service was very speedy and friendly and the bill was a pleasant surprise so we cannot fault anything and had a great evening out. The only small thing I do think they could improve on would be the advocaat they serve with one particular ice cream coupe, which was barely alcoholic and did not quite taste like the real thing.
