“Excellent curry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We were camping nearby and fancied getting an Indian takeaway to eat outside our tent. Found this place and the staff were really friendly and food very good. Couldn't fault it. Didn't realise that you could eat in as might have considered eating there instead (as we were surrounded by midges sitting outside our tent!). Would recommend.

“Tiny place in a small village. But made a big impact!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

We stayed in Hope for onenight only. Didn't fancy the grub at the place we were staying, so a quick Tripadvisor app search revealed this little gem of a place.
We did a recce on foot first to see the actual place, and so popped in to reserve a table. It is a small 'cabin' literally, tucked away from the main drag, but well advertised by signage. It has a small bar and takeaway waiting area, and the smallest restaurant I've ever been too. Six tables! four tables for two and two tables for up to six I think... All were full when we arrived, but our reservation was honoured and we sat down.
It's not licenced, so you can take your own alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks are sold at reasonable price in there.
Menu is pretty standard Indian restaurant fayre, good value too, a standard 'Chicken Madras' was £6.95. There is a list of chef's specialities too which are slightly more pricey.
We ordered a chicken tikka balti and chicken madras, rice and naan.
Service was polite and friendly, and efficient.
Food was excellent, nice meat, great flavours, and good quantity.
Overall, a great little place. Would recommend a reservation as it doesn't take much to fill it.
A+ Would go again.

“Good service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

We ordered a home delivery from the curry cabin which came promptly and with a very pleasant delivery chap. The curries were good although the handi dish of the day which sounded like it was going to be something quite special lacked flavour so was a bit disappointing. I would echo previous comments about the level of spicing / chilli in the dishes so if you like a hot curry do make that clear when ordering.

“Fantastic Indian ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

Spending a few days in the Peak District and on a nice day a lot of the pubs were full so we decided to have something a bit different. We were surprised on arrival that the dining room was fairly empty but the food was absolutely fantastic, no complaints at all. If we are in the area again, we will be back!
