This hotel has an enviable position with a stunning beach and pool area. Food is v good Greek and European food without being fancy.
The hotel is on a steep hill down to the sea which means that nearly all of the rooms have fabulous views but due to the heat most of the time you need to call for a buggy to collect you everytime you need to go to reception or to leave the hotel. Most of the time the buggy service is good but obviously there are gluts where everyone wants the buggy at the same time which can be frustrating if you need to leave.
Some of the staff are unbelievably attentive. The maids are very helpful as is the enthusiastic South African guy who drives the buggy. He's just soo helpful. He really can't do enough for you. If all the staff were like that the hotel would be fabulous. Sadly they're not.
The team that run the pool and beach towels are quite the opposite. They want you to sign for towels and then some of the 'towel guards' limit the number of towels you can have to one and some kindly let you have two! Most annoyingly they seem to be so disorganised that everyday they seem to run out. I waited 20 minutes as they said more towels were coming and then after 20 mins was told they would be another 40 minutes. You would think a five star hotel like this would just BUY SOME MORE TOWELS!! The team have a real attitude problem towards the clients.

This attitude clearly goes right to the top. I had booked tennis lessons through the hotel prior to arrival but was not told that the net is 10-15cm short and cant be lifted as the poles holding it up are not fitted correctly. I complained and was told by the manager that it would be fixed by 10pm that night. Unfortunately it wasnt. When I complained again I was told by the manager that the owners did not want to spend the money required to fix the poles holding up the net which were causing the problem. This is supposed to a five star hotel!

We spent 10 glorious days in early July - the hotel lived up to all expectations in every regard. Beware the numerous steps if you are staying in one of the higher rooms - not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. The service was excellent - bars, pool, restaurants and the housekeeping the best ever experienced and we have stayed in some wonderful hotels over the years. The views are exquisite and the sunsets spectacular. Hotel bus to Mykonos town a bit limited on times but easy bus at top of road every 1/2 hour taking c15 mins. Look out for the ubiquitous Kostas - good to see management walking around regularly plus he gives photography lessons if your new camera is too complicated!!! Hard to pick out staff as all so good but special mention to Lefteris in bar and the lovely Dimitra in the BBQ pool restaurant - thank you to both for looking after us so well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Sea view essential to enjoy wonderful views - worth every penny

We took a break from our Cruise to spend time away from the Ship. The Ship and Cruise were fantastic (Celebrity Reflection). We bought a day pass and Katerina at Saint John's was very helpful in booking. This resort is a cruise ship on land; amenities, pool, beach everything top notch.
Come very, very hungary for there breakfast buffet, it is vast, a lot of food and very, very good.
Go work out in the fitness center to make room for lunch. You will not go hungary. The Greek Salad you have to try as the beef and lamb comination. Some of the best food you will have in Greece. Staff is terrific. Pool area is a picturesque. Hotel is built so it cascades down to the Agean Sea. The white wash buildings and the blue accents are very Greek Isles! If you get to Mykonos on a cruise or just to stay for your vacation, make Saint John's your choice you will not be disappointed. What is great about the pool area, it is a large pool area and if you go to the edge it looks like an infinity pool that you overlook the Agean Sea; what a sight! Kudos to Kantos, the hotel GM, he is terrific. We missed our ride back to the ship, he took us. The hotel staff is very well trained, love what they do and it shows.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel for our honeymoon. The views are amazing, the pool is very large and you can enjoy the sunset from the pool or by the pool. The buffet breakfast is very rich with a vast variety and also very fresh. Though we were really disappointed by the service that was given by the pool bar especially a particular pool girl. We ordered a toast and had to wait for 1 hr. We asked for many times to check on our toast and they told us that it was coming soon. People who ordered after us ate all their food and we were starving. Then they told us that the kitchen was busy!! So how come people who ordered after us were served before?! Besides they did not make it up for us. That was definitely not a service of a 5 star hotel. Another thing is the bathroom, it was not cleaned properly during our stay expecially the toilet. I suggest you use bleach every day not only the first day of clients arrival.

Thank you for choosing the St John to be a part of your honeymoon - we love to be a part of life-long memories and it's fantastic to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us.

We pride ourselves on our service and we will definitely be looking into the situation regarding your pool-bar order and also your comments on the toilet. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as constructive feedback continually helps us to improve.

We hope you'll visit us again when you're next on the island.

Best place to see sunset. Make sure you get a sea view room. All rooms are decorated the same but some are larger than others. Room and bathroom are beautifully appointed with king size bed. Be prepared to walk up and down a lot of stairs as the hotel is many levels. Pool is beautiful infinity pool and they have a spa with great services. The included buffet breakfast was the best we had anywhere in greece, great huge selection. The restaurant food for lunch And dinner was not the best, would recommend eating in town or the hotel next door which is another good option, the Mykonos Grand. No nightlife at the hotel either but the town of Mykonos or Naso has great party atmosphere. Katerina's is a great restaurant in Little Venice. You have to take the local bus to town, hotel shuttle only goes a few times at night and taxi is hard to come by. It can get very windy afternoon and evening, bring scarf or sweaters. The high speed ferry is a great way to get to different islands, be prepared to carry your own luggage on and off!

Room Tip: Sea view top floor
