What can I say... Looking at the reviews it has all been said before - Kavos is indeed astounding! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated with such a personal and warm manner by all of the Kavos team. Having just got married we booked the honeymoon suite and were greeted by fresh rose petals (picked from the gardens) on the bed and a bottle of ice cold wine. The room & view were stunning. The food was amazing & although we ate at other places close by, we were always drawn back to George's cooking. The shrimp saganaki is to die for! Manos is such a great barman and the atmosphere in the evenings was sociable and easy going. Naxos is a beautiful island to explore and Kavos provided the perfect base for us. We will not hesitate to return! Enjoy!

We stayed in Kavos Naxos for a week. We wanted a relaxing hassle free stay.

The positives:

- Quiet rooms, air conditioned and private
- small kitchenette, fridge - good facilities
- helpful staff (not that we needed to bother them much)
- nice pool
- private terrace adding to privacy
- close to town (we did 12 different tavernas in a week)
- close to beach (10 min walk)
- enjoyable setting - so we felt happy staying in the hotel during the day chilling out
- good mojitos
food very good

The negatives

- quite expensive to stay and to eat - but we did not begrudge a penny

We have just returned from two weeks staying at various islands in the Cyclades. Kavos was out first port of call and how glad we were that it was, my husband and i were so ready for a relaxing break and the Kavos was just the place for it.

The hotel and its grounds are just beautiful, the staff are great, and really make the stay special. I am sure i echo every review when i say Manos makes great cocktails, George is a FAB chef - i am scared to try another prawn saganaki as i know it won't match his delicious dish - George i'll be in touch for the recipe again soon!!! Finally Barbara is there on hand for anything you need to make your stay everything you want it to be.

At the Kavos you can be as independent or decadently pampered as you want.

We had a great time and will definitely return - you have been warned!!!

I am a travel agent in the USA who booked this hotel directly for clients who wanted to stay there during their honeymoon. Barbara Skarkou, Hotel Manager, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She provided the best information and service I have ever received from a Hotel Manager! Not only were the honeymoon accommodations better that my clients expected, they were met with a bottle of champaign! Besides the excellent hotel accommodations, Barbara also was willing to make arrangements for a rental car and ferry reservations. Working from the USA to book a place I personally have not yet visited can be difficult because you want to provide clients with the best possible options, and pictures and descriptions are not always trustworthy. Having direct contact with Barbara and the assurance of her expertise made this an exceptional connection. I will DEFINITELY send future clients to Hotel Kavos and HIGHLY recommend it for your consideration.

“Most Relaxing Hotel in Greece!”

At first I didn't want to write a review about how relaxing and perfect (for our honeymoon) this hotel is so we can keep it a secret, but the word is out!

Kavos Hotel a short bike ride or quick drive from the main town in Naxos. The hotel with weather is pretty much as close to heaven in early June as you'll get. Even though it's been 6 months since we've been there, we can still remember it perfectly. The location is just tucked away enough to be quiet and relaxing. Everything you can do via walking or bike. There's two beaches and Regina, the very friendly assistant to the proprietor, informed us which one to walk to depending on the wind. Oh, and you get a view of this all from poolside of the hotel! Besides the seclusion and relaxation, George the chief is INCREDIBLE. After flying to Greece from DC via terrible Heathrow, and spending two days walking Athens, we arrived and had a greek salad and a beer then my wife said we're going to eat every dinner here this week and I said Ha. But after you see the menu and enjoy George's fresh food. Oh, my friend, you'll eat there every evening with a bottle of Santornini white wine!

We stayed in a suite with a private balcony...perfect. Every unit has a view and you see the incredible sunset. Barbara Skarkou, the proprieter, had a bottle of wine chilled. The very only downside is the mattresses are not very soft (we found no soft mattresses in Greece). However, EVERYTHING else mitigates this! The unit was light, spacious, had a small kitchen, sofa and large bathroom. Although we didn't spend that much time in the room, the space was appreciated. We watched every sunset on the porch under the rose pergola.

I can go on and on but to summarize: extraordinarily peaceful location, excellent proprietors and staff, Barbara, George and Regina and incredible pool and dinning area! All close and far enough away! We're counting down till we can return! And this was our favorite of the 5 places we stayed in Greece, even over Santorini!
