“Very Enjoyable stay! Fantastic location and Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

If you are thinking of booking this hotel, don't be put off by some of the very negative reviews on this site. We have just got back and have had a brilliant holiday. Yes, the hotel is dated but this is Greece! We didn't expect 5 star luxury for what we paid, but what we did get was very helpful, informative and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The hotel is in a fabulous location on a beautiful beach. There is a good Irish bar/restaurant next door and a lovely taverna on the beach. The local bus stop is just outside and runs regularly into the Town. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and clean towels every day. Plenty of hot water and good shower. Small fridge in room which was really useful. Breakfast is simple but plentiful. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we will be definitely going back.

Room Tip: We had room 113 - excellent view but not too far up the hill!

We visited this hotel with Family in this hotel in the first week of May,2013. We had booked 2 rooms. Staff is co-operative, the front desk is helpful. The beach is infront of this hotel, location wise it is too good. Mykonos town is just a 2kms away from this hotel. Provision of renting a vehicle is also available just next to this hotel. The rates are fine, the best way to see Mykonos is rent the Vehicle from next door, go around Mykonos all the beaches. We got free parkings near the town and beaches, and it is safe to park there. We parked near the Mykonos town and saw the whole town and the Pelican, seeing Pelican is considered as good omen. Paradise beach is not far off, but after seeing the bus timings we decided to rent the vehicle because it gave us the freedom to spend more time to spend in each beach and more flexibility. The hotel guided us for the bus timings and the recent event happenings at the town. The Connecting High Speed Boat for Athens is near by, and it started well in time. Hotel is neat and clean, comfortable. The breakfast is good, but if hotel decides to add some fruits it will be good for all. Every room has a balcony and have great view to the sea. They also helped us for late Check outs on the journey day. The front desk staff, restaurant staff and staff looking after the facilities was too considerate, helpful and very polite. It is really helpful if the rooms are taken on the first floor, so that no need to carry the luggage , since it is on a hill. I can consider staying at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms situated on the first floor for sea view and comfort of carrying the luggage.

One star just for the location. The rest is just bad: The rooms are very old(-fashioned), beds are unconfortable, stuff and owners are rude, breakfast is unacceptable (dirty, flies everywhere, unfresh...). I would pay max. 5 Euros per day to stay in this hotel in the future (incl. breakfast). Sorry guys, but we 're in 2012, not in 1985!

Alkistis hotel Is in Agios Stefanos and its only 2 miles from downtown Mykonos, It sits on a hill side and across a beautiful beach. Try it you'll be glad you did.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the beach.

Room was acceptable, two comfortable firm beds, old furnishings. Shower pressure good with good regulation between hot/cold. Beware hot is scalding. Air conditioning operated efficiently.Good view of the bay.
As said in previous reports many steps if your room is up the hill. Our room was on the first level so we were happy. If you have knee problems where climbing steps is a problem consider another hotel.
Management were helpful but when taxis drivers were on strike were not helpful with advising with alternate transportation to airport but begrudgingly did offer to take a friend who was leaving earlier than us to the airport. They should have offered immediate help when a customer is stranded especially when other hotel in the area offered a shuttle service to the airport. They really didn't care about their customers.
Breakfast bland. Cold hard boiled eggs, pre cooked fried eggs occasionally, luke warm coffee, sliced cheese and ham. Helpfull waitress though.
Beach was good family beach sheltered from the wind one minute walk from the hotel. Bus stop also very convenient for down town. Bus every hour takes 7 minutes to the Old Port.

The hotel is good. The rooms are small but ok. Bathroom poor, the water wets the room when you take a shower. Coul be easy to resolve with a courtain that would make a "L" covering both sides where you are taking the shower. Breakfast quite large. Too far from town.

Excelent the girl (short hair) that works at the help desk. We had to leave in a rush the hotel because of the strikes in June and she managed to get a taxi, get a travel agent, change the tickets, etc. In 1 hour we were able to leave the island when it was going to be no ferries for 48 hours.
Hotel ok. Remarkable compromise of recepcionist.

Dirty rooms, blocked water drainage from bathroom, No shampoo, soap, cheapest quality bed matresess, noisy bed frames are main things that I remember.
Take ear plug with you to prevent noises from other rooms

Room Tip: Very expensive for that quallity
