“Average service, food and quality but pretty place and location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Looks impressive and views but alas food not up to scratch. First disappointment at lack of greek food. Choose one told they had run out, choose another that had run out. The food and service was very average and more expensive than the other two restaurants on the beach. Went back two nights later and same experience including the two Greek choices had run out again!

“Friendly staff, nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

It was lovely eating a meal overlooking the beach. The atmosphere and service were excellent. The food was good but not outstanding. We thought it was expensive but all the restaurants were roughly the same price so in keeping with the locality.

“Beach, lunch, dinner or drinks... All wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is our second trip to Mykonos and we've stayed in Agios Stefanos on both occasions. we visited Epistrophi last year regularly and are now half way through our 2 week break. We've visited Epistrophi every day and spend time on the beach (definitely the comfiest loungers i've come across). It's possible to order food or drink on the beach or pop to the restaurant. Friendly and relaxed service along with an always welcoming attitude makes us want to keep coming back. Sampled food ranging from lamb in the oven, lobster, vine leaves, Greek chicken with herbs, haloumi - all wonderful... prices are very reasonable when compared to Mykonos town as well. Well worth a visit.

“Great Greek food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Ate here most nights when staying at the Mykonos Grace hotel. Just a short walk from the hotel, much cheaper, and great food. Didn't try the moussaka until the last night and regretted it. Simply delicious. If you're looking for a good meal and staying at the Grace then no need to travel all the way into town. Mykonos town will give you more life, but not any better food..

“Good traditional Greek food and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

This is our second visit to Mykonos and we thoroughly recommend going to Epistrophi which is a lovely Greek taverna right on the beach at Agios Stefanos. We came every day to the beach where the restaurant own the beach chairs in front and you can either order from the man on the beach or go and sit in the restaurant if you want a break from the sun. Food- always freshly cooked, Greek salad was fantastic, tomatoes were lovely, we had fried squid, vine leaves, lamb in the oven and a lovely lobster dish one evening when we came down which was delicious. its a very friendly and welcoming place, very good value for money and we are definitely coming back when we return to Mykonos. if you want a relaxed, non stuffy place to eat ( some of the restaurants in mykonos town were massively over priced and pretentious) then this is the place to go, really excellent!!!
