“Very Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

We work in Hawarden and pass this restaurant every day, but have never ventured in. Increasingly over the past few months people have been reporting that it is very nice and Tripadvisor reviews say the same! So we booked and are so glad we did.

The restaurant is on two floors, simply decorated and not flashy, but with a warm atmosphere, nothing pretentious at all.

The menu is simply varied but with adequate choice.

Our party of four went for a four course meal, breads and Olives, then starters of belly pork, frittata, and two of us had ham croquettes.onto mains of a shared chicken paella for two, roast duck, and pulled pork tortellini. Deserts of ice cream, rice pudding, and chocolate creme brulee's.

All the food was delivered hot and well presented by efficient staff who could when asked describe each dish from the menu to help you choose.

With a few beers, a couple of bottles of wine the whole meal came to around £145 very reasonable for such good quality.

We had a very nice meal, good wine in pleasant surrounding from a local establishment, and left well pleased and well fed!

“Excellent Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

We made our second visit to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Whilst it was a bit of a wait for our starter and main course, the food was worth waiting for!

Being vegetarians, our initial impression had been that the menu was a bit limited for us, but the waitress soon returned with a hand written additional list that the chef was willing to prepare and which we selected from. We were not disappointed with the mushroom rissotto with kale and poached egg and the aubergine parmigiana.

Based on this experience, we won't leave it as long before our next visit.

“Try it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Great little place to eat, not too expensive and the tappas are lovely. We went this time for Tappas Tuesday with its 2 for 1 which was great, especially for someone with an appetite! This little eatery is a gem, it changed over the years from Imfeld to Brasserie and now it really has made its own name in the village and is so very worth a visit. (Park by the station)

“Best tapas in ages!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

We booked for new years eve and were lucky to be offered a table at late notice. We arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready, Staff were very efficient and we were pleasantly informed that they were offering the 2-4-1 deal on tapas dishes (even though it was new years eve!)
When we came to order food we were told there was a backlog in the kitchen and in the end we did wait nearly an hour for our food - although it was NYE so I suppose it was busy......
But when the food arrived it was worth waiting for. My husband had steak which came with usual grilled tomato, mushroom and crispy fries (which tasted better than they looked). I had four tapas dishes which were all brilliantly presented and great flavours (too much for one so my husband got to try them too).
Could not believe the bill for a NYE meal - amazing and we will definitely go back in the near future.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy but modern and welcoming and the staff were pleasant.

Hi Molly111,

Thank you for your review and for choosing Shared Olive on new years eve. We are really pleased we were able to make your night enjoyable.

Apologise for the wait on your food. As you pointed out however, it was new years eve and we were busier than normal. I'm glad you thought the food was worth waiting for though!

We hope to see you again soon!

Kind regards,
Chelcie
