“Delightful hidden gem in the Bickley Valley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

We went along on March long weekend. For some of us this was our third or fourth trip. Since I first went their range of ciders has increased. We tried the 4 that were available and all were delicious (some more so than others).

It's only about 20 minutes drive from the city and in the cooler months its a lot greener and particularly when the trees are in blossom.

There is no table service as such, you have to place your order at the cash register however the food comes out pretty efficiently and promptly. The menu is not extensive but there is enough to choose from.

You can chose to sit on the deck which has a gorgeous outlook with ceiling fans or sit outside with sail canvas above to protect you from the sun. There was a 2 piece outfit playing who I have to say were lovely. Not so loud that you had to yell to speak but loud enough you could hear them sing and play.

If you want some where nice for lunch on the weekend then head up to the Core but do book first as the hill folk know all about this place.

“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

A great concept & well done for making such a good spot out of the old sheds.

We called in without a reservation... Don't. Even early Saturday it was busy, we got a seat on the couch, too far from the edge for the views, we could only see the tree tops. The cider was interesting, not to my taste, but pleasant non the less, refreshing on a hot day. We had the Core Plate, $55 & too much for 2 ppl, may be better over a longer period. The food was OK, just, I wouldn't rush back, but enjoyable none the less.

Service was pleasant & the staff efficient & polite enough. If the management are listening you need to do something about your ordering system, it's too busy to have ppl queuing at the till for food & drinks. (a nice problem to have!) If there is a system then it wasn't well described by the girl who seated us.

For me this is a great place for a long afternoon, not a quick meal

“Refreshing cider overlooking the apple orchard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This is a brilliant venue, steeped in family history and tradition. Loved the tasting tray and the view over the orchard. Plan to come back and enjoy their lunch menu.

“New favourite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Only heard of this place last week and our visit didn't disappoint. Lovely setting but without a booking, difficult to get a seat. Loved the food, cider, apple juices -yum. Great little band. Bit of a mix up with the food order but very professionally managed.
Will certainly return, especially if we have visitors.

“A nice place for a casual lunch in the Perth Hills.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

A picturesque spot about 40 minutes from Perth. The food is tasty and the cider the best I have ever tasted. Nice spot for a relaxing summer afternoon with family and friends.
