“Comfortable and convenient retreat..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

We stayed three nights in Villa Savoia and it was so comfortable Rome had to wait for us until afternoons. Eugenio would be very helpful if anything went wrong. He wasn't needed because everything was as promised and we had all the convenience. We had a car, we drove to Rome (maximum 20 min.) and left the car in a garage. In the town, we felt very safe, we could buy groceries from the authentic suppliers with a five minute walk. From the huge terrace you can have a sip of your beer watching Rome lights... Perfect.

I visited Villa Savoia in July 2012 and immediately booked for July 2013. It was an excellent apartment within a lovely town. The train station is a few minutes walk with regular trains into Termini station for 2 euros. It is also a short drive from Lake Albano at Castel Gandolfo (Papal residence). The owner lives in an adjacent property and is available to help without being at all intrusive. He was great for recommendations and lots of help and advice while we were there. The apartment gives a wonderful view towards Rome and is well appointed and equipped. Shops and restaurants are all close by and there are numerous towns around to visit. It is also within easy driving distance to Villa d'Este and Tivoli as well as Cassino and the beaches on the Roman coast. Overall, I would say that this is a fabulous apartment in a fantastic location for swimming, sightseeing and, of course, the wonders of Rome itself. Excellent.

I was staying at Villa Savoia for a 1 week with my friends. I have found it to be a nice and comfortable place. The owner also was very friendly. Description found at this site is precise and complete. Apartment was well ordered and clean. Owner was very quick to solve some technical problem or to satisfy some additional request. The first day we have found some wine, limoncello and beer in the fridge as well as some snacks for free. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The railway station (Roma Termini - Albano Laziale line) is located very close - 3 - 5 min by walk. There are also a lot of direct buses to Roma Anagnina, Frascati etc. It is very comfortable to travel without car. There are small shops in few minutes by walk that sell traditional pure Italian food (porchetta, mozzarella etc) and wine, as well as restaurants and bars. All the prices are reasonable. I would advise this place not only for tourist or people in vacation, but also to persons who need to stay for a work, for example, in ESA or in the Accelerator.

We are a family of five with 3 kids. We have found Villa Savoia through Tripadvisor and we loved the place immediately! When we walked into the apartment, the first thing we felt is relief, because it was so clean and nice. We also let Eugenio know that we would arrive and he arranged our transport from the airport. He really is amazing! He gave us a rundown of things to see, directions on a map, and even recommended a great restaurants! We stayed a whole week, saw all the sights, and came back to our little heaven every day. Plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen, excellent facilities and the lovely terrace that topped it off! We loved sitting out there enjoying the roman silhouette while sipping a glass of wine in the evenings before dinner! Even if not in Rome, Villa Savoia is in a great location not far from everything, Rome Termini Station is a 40 minutes drive away. Will definitely stay here again and again whenever we visit Roma!
