“Great view - Crafts hustler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

The view of Fatehpur Sikri's valley is incredible from this place which is close to Fatehper's famous Palace in ruins. The rooms are decent, quiet and pleasant. Mine had walls that need a paint job. It may very well be the best choice in Fetephur for a place to stay for a low price! Negotiate the room price if you stay 3+ days as they may give a discount. The older son can escort you by motorcycle to places of interest as a favor or for a tip. The younger son also can be a guide. The food though was mediocre because the owner has his 12 year old son do the cooking. The owner (Mohammad Aslam I believe) and his 2 sons there are very friendly yet they all are real hustlers with their crafts if you show an interest in buying them. Don't buy marble from them. The owner and his teenage son give different inflated prices. It is also brittle. After much haggling they gave me a discount on a White marble plate I bought only to double the price on other marble crafts. The owner claims to be a professional packer but 2 plates he packed for my shipment arrived in pieces at my home. It is a shame that my experience with the crafts I bought from them was bad after my stay with them was wonderful.

Hello every body,
i said in the title very nice house because the sunset view guest house, is not a common guest house. When you first step the front door, you come inside a family.

All the people there is so generous and helpfull. The guest house is just close to the mosque, in a very peacefull area of Fatehpur Sikri, There are differents types of rooms (single or double), and the price is very good>

On of the thing you can t find anywhere else except in this guest house is the view, You definitively have to stay in this place just to enjoy the sunset and the view on the caravanserail the Ajmiri Gate the old city and the country side

I was there several times and i will come back again just because it s a lovely place to stay

you can call them and book at any moment at those numbers

This cosy guest house run by a friendly family has an awesome view of the landscape behind the guest house. The huge mosque of Fatehpur Sikri is also really close. The only disadvantage: the garbage on the hill between the guest house and the mosque.

Arrived in Fatehpur by bus from Agra, a boy came to us to talk about his family guesthouse. Great idea we had to follow him, we were planning originally to stay in front of the noisy bus stand. It climbs up to the mosque, ok, and it is hard with the bags, then you cross a garbage field just outside the village, but the reward is there, you will find the best view of Fatehpur Sikri, a very quiet place, and an honest family that will make you feel like at home. Aslam and the boys are really good people, even if pushing a little sometimes, but mostly they are honest. The rooms are cheap (250 Rs) and fairly clean.
Just on thing we did not like so much, there is not a single place to eat in the village so you are trapped eating from the guesthouse every day. The food is good and we didn't get sick but really not the best (even if Aslam tries his best!!) and quiet expensive too.
I would definetly recommend this place!

Pour les français, je recommende fortement cet endroit pas cher et bien tenu, le meilleur endroit à Fatehpur Sikri!

Room Tip: The big room on the left after the corridor, on the same level, room 101 if i remember right, is the...

Super sunset view! Friendly family guest house, Aslam and his sons take care of their customers. Nice chip and clean rooms, good fresh food (they bring from the market after you order). If you want understand better the indian culture this is the place to be. Close to the mosque (2min walking) and the palace (5 min) you can enjoy the most calm and peacefully place in fatehpur sikri.
