“Great Place for a last minute booking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Booked a week's B&B. For the price you pay it is a fab place and has a lovely pool area with pool bar along with a large inside bar area with pool tables (if you are into that) and TV screens showing sports events. The inside bar area wasn't used that much.
Breakfast catered for all nationalities but be warned it can take you up to 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee from the coffee machines. They have 3 machines but they work so slowly that you end up queuing for ages.
We paid a bit extra for a seaview room with air con, the room had a large kitchin/lounge area, seperate bedroom and balcony. If you want to use the safe you have to pay 18 euros for this (bit much I think) and you can hire beach towels for 2 euros each, if you want them washed during the week then you pay another 2 euros.
Location is a little bit further out than I would have liked, but still only a 15 minute walk to El Duque beach and we did walk from La Caleta to Playa de las Americas one day which took about 3 hours (with refeshment stops along the way!!). Word of warning, El Duque beach charge 19 euros for 2 beds and umbrella which I thought was a bit steep. There is a black sand beach in front of hotel and we would probably have used this if it had some ammenities, such as beds and refreshments. The harbour (turn right out of the hotel) has some lovely restaurants & we ate at a different one 3 nights but you could eat a different restaurant every night of weeks stay if you wanted to stay local.
Only negatives about the hotel was the shower was extremely slow to drain, which meant we had to ensure we didn't stay in it too long (for fear of overflowing), and the toilet had a problem with refilling with water after flushing. We reported both faults and the toilet was fixed but the shower was a problem all week (probably just bad design). The bed was also the creakiest bed I have ever stayed in and could have done with some oil or replacing totally but was still quite comfortable,

I had a 3 night B&B stay prior to transferring to another hotel where my family were staying, so didn't really use all the facilities! On arrival I paid for an upgrade to a superior room for a sea view and air conditioning as there isn't any in the standard rooms (60euros for the 3 nights) Lovely big apartment all to myself with fab sea view! Went to sleep each night listening to the waves crashing on the beach! La Caleta is lovely and peaceful, just what you need to relax and chill. The hotel was very clean, the reception staff were very helpful, the breakfasts I had were very good as was the one evening meal (which I paid for separately 15 euros with a drink). There is a bus stop directly outside that takes you to all the usual places as previously mentioned, the hotel have the timetable displayed .Alternatively, it is a very pleasant 15 minute walk to Adeje. Supermarket directly next door for all your basic needs etc. Would like to stay here for longer and make the most of what looked like a lovely pool area. Thanks very much.

Room Tip: pay for a superior room with air con and a sea view, well worth it!

I made in choosing this hotel in La Caleta. The accommodation was very spacious especially as I was travelling alone. A separate sitting room and double bedroom with the bathroom between. A well appointed kitchenette and spacious balcony. The interior typically Spanish, perhaps a little dated but more than satisfactory.
The rooms are cleaned virtually every day and the whole aparthotel is likewise kept very clean and tidy.
There is a fairly generous pool area and nice enough pools with plenty of sun loungers. There are also rooftop sunbathing areas.
I was staying B&B and I must say the breakfasts were particularly good and very generous in the choice and amounts available. I had 2 or 3 course breakfasts every morning which would set you up for the whole day.
La Caleta itself is a smallish quiet village with a few good restaurants and a few bad ones (so check out the TA reviews). There is a supermarket attached to the hotel for most needs.
Entertainment was provided every night but orientated to families with young children.
While there most of the guests seemed to be French, German or Dutch, very few English.
There are good transport links to Los Christianos which can be seen from the hotel along the coast. The bus stops are just outside.
If you are looking for a lively, buzzy, boozy holiday with lots of people and shopping then this is probably not the hotel and resort for you. But the more lively areas are just down the coast and readily accessible so you can get the best of both worlds in La Caleta.

Room Tip: I had room 244 overlooking the pool, which I was very pleased with, however I am told and am not sur...

I went to this hotel in June 2012.
Booked HB with sea view and A/C.
Staff excellent, food good but no sandy beaches nearby only black sandy beaches near hotel.
Went on lovely walks to La Caleta - found good places to eat with superb views.

Regards

Chris.

We stayed in a superior room on the 3rd floor with frontal ocean view. There are few better as it is very close to the ocean. The room itself is basic but ok. There were 2 single beds put together.
The bathroom is good but occasionally there can be a smell. The room is equipped with a small heat, sink, refrigerator and all the necessary things to prepare a meal if you want to. The hotel buffet is ok. The quality is good but sometimes lacks a little bit of flavor.
Because of the excellent terrace and quality for money, the hotel is worth it.

Room Tip: select a superior room

We have stayed here several times before.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. We always pay more for a superior sea view room, well worth it in our opinion.
We were arriving late, the hotel put a meal, fruit and water in the fridge for when we got there, without our knowledge, very good of them.
The reception is excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior sea view, 10 euros per night extra
