“The Piano Inn, a great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

The Piano Inn provided a perfect setting for a 75th birthday and family get-together. We booked all 4 suites in the inn and could leave doors open and visit room to room. The suites are very clean, beautifully decorated and provide wonderful space for spending time, complete with kitchenettes, Keurig coffee, mini fridges, microwaves and dishes. Our hosts were most obliging and flexible in meeting our specific needs and being available all the time. We were met with smiles, assured that they were a phone call away if needed, and they even helped with the surprise 75th lunch the next day in the Piano Café. The location of the Piano Inn, in downtown Port Perry, was excellent as we could walk to wonderful restaurants and shops, leaving our vehicles in the designated parking behind the inn. I would strongly recommend the Piano Inn for your next "weekend away" destination.

We have now stayed twice at the Piano Inn and both times were very enjoyable. The rooms are reasonably spacious, and very elegant. Also very clean -- spotless. We have been in the Coachman Suite one time and Poet's Corner more recently. We enjoy being by ourselves for breakfast -- Keurig coffee, and with a wonderful bakery across the street it's excellent.

Thanks to my sister and her family's generous gift of a gift certificate for the Piano Inn, my husband and I had the pleasure of a night at this lovely 'inn' in Port Perry. The rooms are above the Piano Cafe. We were in the Photographers' Suite. Lovely clean lines. Room amenities included a Keurig coffee maker and small fridge with creamers and free bottled water. The room and ensuite bathroom with shower were impeccably clean. Everything looked brand new.

As other reviews noted, access to the rooms is via staircase (about 20 steps) but this was not an issue, despite our moving past middle aged status.

This is a B&B without breakfast but the recommended Hank's Pastries is just across the street. Right in town, so a bit of street traffic sound in the a.m. but not enough to be disruptive.
We will definitely return and will recommend to friends.

One of our very dear friends celebrated her 50th birthday and the Piano Inn was recommended to us for a weekend away. We were not disappointed!!! We occupied the entire Inn and the rooms were fabulous. We were able to leave all the doors open to the suites and have one huge celebration. Rob met us at the the door, carried our bags, provided birthday candles that we forgot and assured us he was only a call away should we need anything. We've decided to make a visit to the Piano Inn a yearly event. We loved the location -- right on the main shopping street and close to many restaurants. Also - we had lunch at the Piano Cafe and had an amazing lunch in a private room in the rear of the restaurant. Thanks Rob and Christie for a memorable weekend.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Were greeted by owner upon entering the office (restaurant) and he helped carry our bags upstairs. The suite was very comfortable (quiet, roomy, clean, comfortable bed and chairs) and the restaurant below served delicious meals. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We had the Poet's Corner ... Very nice.

Spent two nights, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. he rooms were newly remodeled with a modern design. Each room (4) has a unique layout and is designed to fit a 100+ year old building. The staff were very accommodating and catered to our every need.
Highly recommend this Inn, but be aware all rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator.

Room Tip: every room is unique, check them online

The Piano Inn has become very near and dear to my heart. I was recently engaged there and I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting for the occasion. Our suite was cheerful and very clean, and the décor was absolutely charming. The suite evoked a sense of warmth and hospitality that I personally have not experienced anywhere else. Every little detail was perfect! The inn is steps away from unique boutiques and restaurants, including their very own The Piano Cafe, which is conveniently situated on the lower floor. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take a quick walk down to the bakery for snacks, and then back to our suite where we could share a cup of tea over pastries in a peaceful and intimate atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked wonders on those hot and humid days. The most notable aspect of staying at the inn is how private and quiet it is. There are no children permitted, and no obnoxious drunks stumbling around; something I've grown to despise with larger big name chain hotels. This inn is intended for a relaxing, quiet and romantic get away. It is very mature, and to be totally honest there should be more inns like The Piano Inn. We have stayed at a five star hotel in Toronto and it simply just does not measure up to The Piano Inn! If you are looking for a place to stay when visiting Port Perry or surrounding area, then I strongly recommend staying here. It is reasonably priced, the staff are amazing and very eager to please, and the peace and quiet alone makes it worth every penny! I will definitely return to The Piano Inn!
