“Don't waste your time or Money!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

Beautiful spot and lovely dining room with a great view!!!Too bad the food is lousy.First night there we had dinner in the dining room and my wife and I both sent our dinners back, which is a rare occurrence for us.We were given free desserts to compensate for the lousy dinners and the dessert was lousy also. Saturday night we stayed in our rooms and ordered dinner from the Pub menu. Much for enjoyable than the fiasco the night before.Nice room, enjoyed the continental breakfast,it would be a shame if this lovely spot were to fail because of the lousy food, the Owners need to do something before it is too late. In the meantime Buyer Beware!!!!

“Easter Brunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

This year we decided to leave the city and go on a road trip to experience Easter brunch in the country. We chose this inn, as it is part of the Windsor Arms Group of hotels. We have always enjoyed the brunch at the Courtyard Cafe as well as their afternoon tea. To be honest, the two hour drive to the inn for brunch was really not that special of an experience. One tossed green salad with one choice of dressing, dry over done chicken, picked over desserts and thin paper serviettes do not make this an acclaimed place to eat as stated in the brochure. We did enjoy the lovely dining room over looking the lake and Ralph our server was most attentive and friendly. We love to golf and might return later this spring and try the pub food downstairs.

“The pub downstairs has good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

The pub is open during golf season and doesn't have an extensive menu, but the food was pretty good.

“New Year's stayover”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2011

We stayed at Eganridge for two nights over New Year's.....fabulous room! Amazingly comfy bed....fireplace......lots of space. :) Super staff - everyone friendly and very helpful.
Spent time in the spa, which was a terrific three hours: came out relaxed, pampered and thoroughly enjoyed all the conversations with staff and guests alike.
The only downfall of this great spot is the food! Really nice continental breakfast the first day........New Year's dinner had two excellent appetizers, the beef tenderloin was terrific but the duck was chewy......dessert seemed prepackaged and was less than impressive. Continental breakfast on New Year's Day was coffee and a muffin!!! Nothing else.....no tea...no juice......totally disappointing way to start the new year. (I guess we could have paid $25 for the brunch, but we'd already paid a lot of $ for the room, so we felt we deserved something more like the previous day for breakfast!)
Great place.....but the new owner needs to take it up a notch if he's going to keep clientel.....we wouldn't recommend going there for dinner to anyone......although a night there and the spa session are certainly enjoyable. :)

“The Dining Room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2010

New owner , new chef , but alas same dreary menu . Extremely overpriced with mundane food . Wine list same , overpriced with $ 12.00 LCBO wines @$ 40.00 per bottle . Compare menu ( Wine list prices not shown on their website !!! ) with top steakhouses on the web , then decide .
