“Parco Fiorito”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

Lovely food with great attention to detail and great welcome by Roberto and staff. Would definitely recommend. Room was very charming, spotlessly clean and a perfect start to the holiday. A little haven in the Tuscan countryside and close to Cortona which is handmade shoe heaven!

This was an incredible and special evening. 12 of us descended on Parco Fiorito, greeted by Roberto and his staff handing us warm, fresh bread. The rest of the evening was magical. If you are in the Cortona area, do not fail to visit the indefatigable Roberto Russo.

We traveled all over Italy on our recent vacation, but one of the most memorable places that we visited was Cortona, Tuscany. Without a doubt, this was due to the beauty, incredible hospitality, and new experiences we encountered during our stay at Parco Fiorito. The owner, Roberto, and his staff could not have been a more perfect hosts. Roberto is an excellent chef and is also quite the jokester. We had the pleasure of staying during the holidays and would definitely consider it in the future! In addition, we enjoyed visiting his farm, hiking up the mountain on the back of the property, treating ourselves at the spa, and eating delicious 4-course meals everyday! We highly recommend this destination spot to anyone who is interested in visiting Cortona and being under the Tuscan Sun.

All you can say about Relais Parco is WOW
we spent Christmas with our family and had the most wonderful time, from the rooms the views, the food but most of all the wonderful host, Roberto Russo.

Olive oil and wine from his own vineyards to the great Italian ham it as all just wonderful

Anyone looking for a wonderful vacation to relax, tour and eat you must visit here

thanks

Room Tip: the two bedroom suites are just wonderful

We wife and I had the pleasure of spending our 25th wedding anniversary at Relais Parco Fiorito. We loved everything about it and the fact it was near the beautiful town of Cortona where the movie Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed. Roberto Russo and his daughter Claudia were excellent hosts and have become our friends for life. You can easily stay here and travel conveniently to many nearby destinations such as Florence with the train station in Terontola near by. We will always remember this time there. Anyone visiting the Tuscan region will have a memorable stay and enjoy the hospitality from Roberto.

My husband and I stayed at Relais Parco Fiorito a few weeks ago and I have not stopped thinking about it. This beautiful inn is in the Italian countryside and most of the food you consume is made right there, right down to the olive oil. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and brought into the main part of the inn to check in. We were given a bottle of wine which was promptly opened so we could enjoy a glass. I found all of the wine in Italy to be wonderful, however, this wine was by far the best wine I had in Italy. We brought a bottle home and will be ordering a case to be shipped. In my opinion, you cannot get wine like theirs in the US. From there, we were shown the upstairs, including the kitchen where our dinner was simmering on the stove. Everything was explained to us about the meal, how it was prepared, what was used, etc. As a foodie and someone who is really interested in good food and nutrition, I was blown away by this. From there, we were shown to our room. We stayed in a suite, which included a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bath. Also, in our room we found another complementary bottle of wine. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. I enjoyed the custom soaps in the beautiful bathroom, the nice linens, towels, robes, etc. The bed was comfortable as well. Around 8:30pm we returned to the main part of the inn to have dinner. Everyone staying at the inn eats in the same, intimate space. Each course was delicious, and every course was explained in detail, again, the passion and care for the food was so evident which I really appreciated. I can honestly say the meal was one of the best, if not the best meal I've ever had. I tried to replicate the red sauce when I got back to the States and I didn't even come close. Upon completion of dinner, the staff took the time to prepare the hot tub (I think they call it, a Turkish Bath) for my husband and I, were treated to having exclusive, private use. Candles were lit, and the mood was set for relaxation and romance. We returned to our room and had a peaceful, restful and restorative sleep. In the morning, we were treated to a wonderful, delicious, homemade breakfast. After breakfast, we indulged in a massage with their on site professional massage therapist, another amazing experience. Upon the conclusion of our stay, the staff saw to it to give suggestions for side trips for our trip back to Rome, which we greatly appreciated.
In conclusion, we would highly recommend Relais Parco Fiorito if you are looking for an authentic experience in the countryside of Italy. No, it is not the Four Seasons, yes, you see animals, it's on a farm, etc, but that is what we loved about it. There is something very special about a place that takes extreme pride and care in their farm and has passion and cares about the food they serve.

We have known the Russo's for almost ten years. My 10 year old son Nico has grown up knowing Roberto, Claudia and Tao and Giuseppe (when he isn't off some where furthering his education!). We all love the tranquil charm at Parco Fiorito, and continue to come up for a visit even though we now enjoy a home in Volturara Irpina in the South. If you want full accommodations and countless choices for your menu, stay in New York city for $500 a night. This is an Agriturisimo with all it's country charm. Roosters crowing? Sure, and we love it, especially waking up to the fabulous countryside from our favorite room, Bifore with it's double arch windows. Roberto is a very eclectic gentleman and we love him with all our hearts.

Room Tip: Stay in the main house, the room Il Tettuccio(sic?) is great for families of 4 with it's loft.
