Stayed here for a night. Clean, basic, small. Staff friendly. Decent enough given price. Hotel looks a bit tired in parts. Breakfast not bad, but could have been better.

We were booked in here on an overnight stay but one look was enough. A dirty entrance and stairway led to what looked like a prison corridor and none too clean at that. Security seemd non existant. We declined to stay and went elsewhere. Still waiting for any sort of refund of the £65 we paid for bed and breakfast.

Booked from Australia, sea view room requested.
Hotel opens from Public bar up a flight of thread bare stairs, along long dingy corridor, with delayed lighting with workmans footprints all over the ill fitting carpet, The room , window covered with birds toilets, wall paper ripped and didn't feel clean .
Explained that we couldn't stay there, no alternative offered.....but recieved a thank you email next day... a wasted £65.00, better value at B &B around the corner.

Room Tip: Book elsewhere, ..car woild be better.

Used hotel as base for a charity walk and hotel was great. Rooms good very clean and shower great. Staff very friendly and bar very nice. The best bit for me was the full breakfast made to order. Would strongly recommend.

The beautifully modernised, well supplied bedroom belied the unpromising street frontage. However it is all being renovated and should look great by the summer of 2011.
