“The best steak in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

The best food in Las Galeras can be found in Le Tainos restaurant. The atmosphere is quite pleasing and the wait staff is attractive and attentive. I would highly recommend the lion fish as a delicious and eco-friendly option, or the tenderloin if you are not a seafood fan.

“Best place to eat and drink in Galeras”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Le Tainos is the place to drink and eat in Galeras. They serve wonderful cocktails (try the Mojito) and food is simple and great. Staff is very attentive and kind, and we are able to have good talks with the owners, one of them which runs the restaurant and the other one, Audrey, who is in charge of the kitchen. We ate there every night, and came back home with good cooking tips as well!

“Middle of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Right in the middle of town, on the corner this French spot is impossible to miss. We dined here the second evening and as I am late in reviewing i won't go into a total food rundown. Owner does it all so service can be a little slow but who cares. Food was fresh, drinks were terrific and the restaurant itself was well laid out, clean and very chic!

Solid 4.

But as always, that's just my opinion.

“Great food, service and best value in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

The service was great (not to be expected in a lot of other places) and the atmosphere is nice and classy. The food was just delicious and special (French-run, live cuisine in a corner). I did not try the overwhelming choice of drinks, but the bar looked more than professional and the choice is probably unbeatable. As the prices were rather reasonable and compared to other places in Las Galeras not even much - if at all - more expensive I can say: the best value in town.

“A fun night with dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We ate there last night. The drinks were excellent. Made just right. The food was very good. We had the Scallops in honey. There are lots of sides, so after seeing the plates arrive for other quests, we opted to share one dinner. We are older with smaller appetites. We also had an appetizer with Spanish Sheep cheese and Spanish ham, it was absolute over the top. We had purchased sheep cheese on a farm in Vermont and had decided to never eat it again, but then we saw the Spanish Sheep cheese and my husband said what the heck let's give it another try. I was salivating after the first bite. The owner is French and a real hoot. For desert we had ice cream and they even had coffee ice cream, to die for. I highly recommend and I would also suggest reservations. Wonderful dining experience in a very small town. Thank you
