good food, we had bacon sandwich, butternut sqash & sweet potatoe soup, carrot cake, tea & coffee - cost £15.
the bacon was absolutley the best I've ever tasted on a nice oven bottom cob. soup was very tasty with a choice of 2 soups & came with ciabatta bread & butter. carrot cake was lovely. good tea & coffee. the menu has a good choice, on our next visit we are going to share the afternoon tea - another customer ordered whilst we were there & it looked amazing - ditch the diet for the day :)
the surroundings are beautiful, I can imagine in summer going for a walk & stopping in there for a bite to eat. the out door seating will come into its own when the sun comes out.
The service was very friendly.
The only down side I would say is the Tea Room is very small & I can imagine it being noisy & crowded when full. Also make sure you take cash or your cheque book as they do not have card facilities yet.
