Description: Near by Copenhagen and just about seven kilometres from the airport and The Blue Planet - Denmark's Aquarium, you will find The Old City of Dragor. This part of the city is known for its small yellow houses with the red tiled roofs, the unique atmosphere and the harbour where the fishermen still hoses their catch of the wharf.Amidst all the goodies lies Restaurant Beghuset and Charlotte and Kim Gravenhorst has been restaurateurs here since 1990. The dining place is known for its fine cuisine and The New York Times wrote: Beghusets café serves good food at a reasonable price, and on-site restaurant offers successfully on ambitious Danish-French cuisine. The restaurant also has several banquet facilities and are most suitable for weddings, communions and corporate parties.

“Really wonderfull dining experience in a very cosy and personal atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Really wonderful dining experience, with high quality food and great personal service. Set in the old and very charming part of Dragor and just outside central Copenhagen, Beghuset provided us a perfect night out in setings you rarely get to experience.

“They don't need your business?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

During my stay in Dragor for the month of December 2013 I hoped to dine at this restaurant as this WAS one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I learned that the restaurant had been engaged all of December to serve the dietary needs of the film crew from Danish Radio Television, who were in Dragor filming. Finally, in February I learned from a local resident that they had talked with the owners and they were once again accepting reservations. I phoned several times and sent an email seeking a reservation. I heard nothing back - nothing. Although I'm pleased for their largess from landing such a plumb account for what is usually a slow time of year, I resent that they ignored a normally satisfied customer completely. One day, when the film crew has left, will they not want the paying public to return and celebrate their fine fare? Isn't it at least polite to reply to an inquiry. I won't be attempting any further reservations here and will patronize other eateries in the area.

“Everything perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

It was like walking into a Christmas card to stroll through old Dragør in the snow. Actually we did quite a bit of strolling because we got lost in the twisty streets, but some locals set us off in the right direction again...The staff was very welcoming. Food fantastic. I ate there many years ago and it is still great. The place itself is also very special, in an old pitch house near the harbor. They have retained the old fashioned homey feel that I remember from my last visit there. It is actually quite a way out from Copenhagen, but the town of Dragør is well worth the visit.
It is pronounced "Buy hooset".

Pretty restaurant with gorgeous food. Not the cheapest, but then again you get what you pay for, and this was good.
Lovely location
